Lesson Plan 'Bumblebees' BF2 U3 M-IX Week II
Class Profile: This diverse group of preschoolers is a vibrant blend of budding learners. While
some are eager to explore the world around them through active play, others prefer quieter
activities like drawing and writing. Their English language skills vary, with some confidently
expressing themselves and others still developing their vocabulary. Despite their differences,
they all share a curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, creating a dynamic and supportive
classroom environment.
Learning Outcomes:
Timetable Fit: This lesson about family members can easily fit into the overall syllabus by
building on the students' existing knowledge of descriptive language. Recent lessons about
family members and animals can provide a solid foundation for this topic. I can expand on this
by introducing new vocabulary related to family and guiding students to apply these words to
describe the personalities of people and pets. This will not only reinforce their understanding
of descriptive language but also help them develop their ability to communicate effectively
and creatively about real life situations.
Personal Aims: My goal for this lesson is to help my kids beginner English learners feel more
comfortable and confident using basic English. I want them to practice speaking, listening, and
understanding simple conversations. To achieve this, I’ll try a few new things. I’ll use role-play
activities to simulate real-life situations and encourage students to use the English they’ve
learned.

○ Ask students to repeat the sound.
○ Show pictures of objects beginning with /m/ (e.g., monkey, moon, mouse).
○ Write the letter "m" on the board and explain its sound.
● Sound Introduction:
○ Say the /f/ sound, pursing the lips.
○ Ask students to repeat the sound.
○ Show pictures of objects beginning with /f/ (e.g., fish, fan, fox).
○ Write the letter "f" on the board and explain its sound.
● Crafting: Students will make the letters M and F with their fingers.
Additional Possibilities: They might find, saying, full sentences a challenge, so I need activities that are
more visual and interactive. I’m thinking of using short clips and videos to show characters expressing
emotions. I can also play audio clips and have them match them to pictures. Games like charades and
bingo can be fun too. And to be really creative, we can make our own feeling stories or comics.
