Cyber Bullying The Mean Side of Media
Cyberbullying is a sort of bullying that occurs through the use of any type of
technological technology. Cyberbullying is a big issue affecting today's generation. It can occur
via the internet via a computer, mobile phone, or other electronic device. Cyberbullying can
take the shape of any type of unpleasant comments or images being broadcast on the
internet for others to see. It could also include distributing false information about the victim
on the internet. Passing humiliating images, cell phone pranks, cyber stalking and
impersonation are the most popular forms of cyberbullying.
To begin, I have personal experience with cyberbullying, as in when someone I knew
took photos of me without my permission and shared them with others. One of my colleagues
informed me that someone had shared the pictures with other chatting groups. It makes me
uneasy when I don't know why or what they're talking about when it comes to my pictures,
even if they're my colleagues. It also makes me nervous. The lesson here is to be considerate
of one another's privacy.
Furthermore, there are advantages and disadvantages to the banning measures for
cyberbullies. I feel that when cyberbullies harass people excessively and there are several
reports on their profile, it is appropriate to ban the cyberbullies in order to protect the
victims. However, from the perspective of others, banning will not solve the situation.
Cyberbullies are becoming more prevalent every day, and I believe that rather than
attempting to ban them, we should raise public awareness about them.
Cyberbullying can be stopped in a variety of ways. Parents should also play a part in
protecting their children from cyberbullying by establishing communication channels with
their children so that children can open out to them when confronted with such bullying.
Parents should also become acquainted with online tools, such as social networking sites
and chat forums. The more a parent understands about these issues, the better their
chances of protecting their children from cyberbullying. Furthermore, parents should teach
their children by prohibiting bullies from sending open messages. In addition, they should
not read them or respond to them, as this would encourage the bully to continue with his or
her threats.
To summarise, cyberbullying has serious effects for everyone. It interrupts the
person’s life, causes significant emotional harm, and has the potential to be lethal. Though
technology has opened up new options for students and teenagers, it is critical that
everyone learns how to utilise it appropriately.
