Overview: The 2023-2024 San Jose National High School Intramurals celebrated the athletic
and cultural talents of students, fostering camaraderie, sportsmanship, and school spirit
among the student body. Four teams—Red Dragon, Blue Whale, Green Python, and Yellow
Hornet—competed across a range of sports and events to claim the title of overall champion.
The Intramurals highlighted diverse activities, from sports competitions to fun games and
cultural presentations, providing a holistic experience for participants and spectators alike.
Objectives
1. Sports Competitions:
o Basketball – The most anticipated event, showcasing impressive teamwork
and strategy from each team.
o Volleyball – Engaged both boys’ and girls’ divisions with thrilling matches.
o Badminton – Provided students an avenue to exhibit agility and precision.
o Tennis – Focused on the one-on-one skills of participants, which brought out
strategic and mental agility.
o Billiards – Highlighted students' skills in accuracy and precision.
o Athletics – Track and field events demonstrated students' speed, endurance,
and strength.
o E-Games – Included a Mobile Legends tournament, showcasing modern skills
in teamwork and strategic gameplay.
2. Special Competitions and Performances:
o Yell Competition – Each team displayed their creativity and energy through
synchronized chants, boosting team morale.
o Stage Decoration Contest – Each team designed stage decor with vibrant
colors and themes representing their respective team mascots.

3. Fun Games for Teachers and Staff:
o Teachers participated in traditional Filipino games like “Palaro ng Lahi,”

and faculty.
Positive Student Feedback: Surveys and feedback forms revealed high levels of
satisfaction among students, who expressed their excitement and pride in representing
their teams.
Strengthened School Spirit: The sense of pride in San Jose National High School
was palpable, contributing to a stronger school culture and a sense of belonging.
Talent Discovery: The Intramurals allowed the identification of promising athletes
who could represent the school in future inter-school competitions.
Enhanced Student-Teacher Relationships: Through various fun games and
collaborative activities, students and teachers fostered a closer and more trusting
relationship.
Challenges
1. Weather Conditions: Sporadic rains caused slight delays in the outdoor events, but
the committee successfully adapted by adjusting schedules.
2. Resource Constraints: Limited sports equipment was a minor issue; however, the
teams managed to share and rotate equipment to complete the events.
3. Time Management: Due to the number of events, time constraints posed a challenge,
but the committee was able to manage schedules efficiently.

Conclusion
The 2023-2024 Intramurals of San Jose National High School was a resounding success,
achieving its goals of fostering sportsmanship, unity, and school spirit. Through the combined
efforts of the organizing committee, teachers, and students, the event provided a memorable
experience for all involved. The Intramurals not only served as a platform for showcasing
talent but also as a vital component of the school's mission to promote holistic education and
personal development among its students.
