1. Write a dialogue between you and your friend about the importance of learning
English.

Rohit : Hello! Lina. How are you?


Lina : Not bad. Thank you. What about you?
Rohit : I am busy to improve learning English.
Lina : Oh! It's really a great idea. Actually English is essential in our every
walk of life.
Rohit : Yes. English is used for global communication. You can't imagine
how is important. English for a better future?
Lina : What does English do for us?
Rohit : English is essential for higher education. It's also an official and
semi official language. It helps us to get a good job.
Lina : Right you're. In fact, the importance of English can't be described
in words.
Rohit : It's also used as an international language. So, all of us must learn
English.
Lina : Of course.
Rohit : Thank you very much.
Lina : You're welcome.

2. Write a dialogue between you and your friend about how to make a good result
in an examination.

Hasan : Hello, Kamal! How are you?


Kamal: Very well. Thank you. And what about you?
Hasan : Fine, thanks.
Kamal : Hasan, I'm not happy with my results. I must do better. Can I have a word
with you about this?
Hasan : Oh, sure.
Karmal: You've always been on top in your exams. What's the secret of your
brilliant results? Tell me about those things, will you?
Hasan : Certainly. To do well in the exam you have to study regularly. You must
not cram anything without understanding. You should make your own
notes and revise them frequently.
Kamal : Good. Have any advice for me.
Hasan : The thing which you need to do most is to have a fairly good command
over language.
Kamal : Thank you.

3. A dialogue between two friends about Traffic Jam.

Dina : Good morning, Runa.


Runa : Good morning, Dina.
Dina : What are you thinking about?
Runa : About traffic jam.
Dina : What ?
Runa : It's a great problem in our country.
Dina : What is the cause of traffic jam?
Runa : There are many causes of traffic jam. Narrow roads,unfit vehicles, inexpert
drivers, unsuitable traffic rules are responsible for traffic jam.
Dina : What is the effect of traffic jam?
Runa : It wastes time, energy and hinders our development.
Dina : We have to solve this problem at any rate.
Runa : But it's hardsome.
Dina : How can we get rid of this problem?
Runa : To get rid of this problem we need spacious roads, expert drivers and
strict traffic rules. Moreover parking here and there should be prohibited.
Dina : Thank you.
Runa : Welcome.

4. A dialogue between two friends about the importance of learning English.

Sheuli : Hello, Shahida! What are you doing?


Shahida : I'm reading an article about the importance of learning English.
Sheuli : Actually English is essential in our every walk of life.
Shahida : It's an International language. It's essential for higher education. All the
books on higher education of every branch of knowledge are written in
English.
Sheuli : It helps a man to get a good job and to earn more money.
Shahida : It's the official or semi official language in more than 60 countries and
of many international organisations. So to maintain daily official
correspondence English is a must.
Sheuli : Right you are. In fact, the importance of English.can't be described in
words.
Shahida : So, all of us must learn English.

5. Imagine you are Rani and your friend is Mili. Now, make a dialogue between
you and your friend about the importance of reading newspaper.

Rani : Hello, Mili! What are you doing?


Mili : I am reading a newspaper.
Rani : Do you read newspaper daily?
Mili : Yes. Everyday before breakfast I read newspaper. Don't you read
newspaper?
Rani : No. I don't. What is the importance of reading newspaper.
Mili : Newspaper is an indispensible part of our life. It helps us in many ways.
Rani : Would you please tell me how it helps us?
Mili : It has removed the global distance. It gives us news about politics,
economics, cultures, literatures, games and sports of the whole world.
Rani : You are right. I am devoid of so many things. So from now on I will read
newspaper daily. Thanks for your suggestion.
Mili : Welcome.

6. Write a dialogue between you and your friend about aim in life.

Mahadi : Hello friend! How are you?


Khalid : I’m fine. Thank you. What about you?
Mahadi : I’m also fine. By the way, what do you think about your future?
Khalid : Do you want know about my aim in life?
Mahadi : Oh yes, You got the main point. Can you share with me your aim in life.
Khalid : Off course. I want to be a doctor. Now, tell me your aim in life.
Mhadi : I want to be a teacher. So, why do you want to be a doctor?
Khalid : You know, Doctor is a noble profession. It give hopes to the peoples.
Also, our country needs more medical specialist to serve the people.
Mahadi : That’s great. I think you are a man of great humanity.
Khalid : Don’t mention that Mahadi. You are also thinking about a noble
profession.
Mahadi : Right you are. Teaching is also a noble profession. Actually, I love to
teach someone what I know.
Khalid : Wow, That’s good. I pray for your success. thanks for sharing your idea.
Mahadi : Thank you so much. I also pray for you to reach your aim in life.
