When a fault has been detected by the VSM, the Di-


agnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be displayed on the
top line of the LCD. See Figure 9060-10-7. The first
group of numbers is the Suspect Parameter Number
(SPN) followed by a (-), then the Failure Mode Indica-
tor (FMI) Number. The entire number makes up the
DTC. DTC explanation can be found in Electrical Sys-
tem, General Maintenance and Diagnostic Data, Di-
agnostic Trouble Codes, Page 9030-03-6.

In the event that more than one DTC is broadcast,


they will be displayed in sequence, last generated will
be displayed. The scroll push buttons can be used to
view the other DTCs.

LEFT INDICATOR AND WARNING GROUP


NOTE: When the accumulator pressure is below
7240 kPa (1050 psi) the low brake fluid warning light
will illuminate and an under dash buzzer will be acti-
vated until the brake pressure rises above
7240 kPa (1050 psi).

The left indicator and warning group displays icons for


turn signals, selected transmission direction, engine
and system status, parking brake status, and seat belt
advisory. See Figure 9060-10-8. They are color coded
for response priority.
