    Lazy F Ranch Orchestra Retreat 2024 - Schedule of Events

    Please have this schedule with you at all times. There may be minor revisions, so pay
    attention to announcements and instructions as they occur. Everyone is expected to be ON
    TIME for all events! That means being in your assigned space a few minutes in advance so
    you can be completely ready for all activities.

    Friday, October 18
    7:30 AM – Load buses
    8:00 AM – Depart NHS
    10:30 AM – Arrive at Lazy F Ranch, take instruments and luggage to rooms
    11:00 AM – All camp meeting
    11:30AM -12:00 PM – Bonding Activity #1 – Name Game (mandatory)
    12:00 PM – Lunch in Manashtash Lodge
    1:00 PM – Chamber rehearsal, Sinfonia sectionals, Concert Orchestra bonding time
    2:30 PM – Concert Orchestra rehearsal, Chamber sectionals, Sinfonia bonding time
    4:00 PM – Sinfonia rehearsal, Concert Orchestra sectionals, Chamber bonding time
    5:30 PM – Dinner in Manashtash Lodge
    6:30-7:30 PM – Bonding Activity #2 – Partner Telephone Game (mandatory)
    7:30-9:45 PM – Stations #1-4 (NOT mandatory; see details on second page)
    7:30-8:00 PM – Chamber S’mores & Campfire
    8:00-8:30 PM – Sinfonia S’mores & Campfire
    8:30-9:00 PM – Concert S’mores & Campfire
    11:00 PM-7:00 AM – Room checks (be in your own bunkhouse)

    Saturday, October 19
    8:00-8:45 AM – Breakfast in Manashtash Lodge
    9:00-9:50 AM – Rehearsals and sectionals with CWU students and Nik Caoile
    • Concert Orchestra sectionals with CWU students
    • Sinfonia rehearsal with Mr. Blough (Ponderosa upstairs)
    • Chamber Orchestra rehearsal with Dr. Caoile (Ponderosa downstairs)
    10:00-10:50 AM – Rehearsals and sectionals with CWU students
    • Concert Orchestra rehearsal with Mr. Blough (Ponderosa downstairs)
    • Sinfonia rehearsal with Dr. Caoile (Ponderosa upstairs)
    • Chamber Orchestra sectionals with CWU students
    11:00-12:00 PM – Rehearsals and sectionals with CWU students
    • Concert Orchestra rehearsal with Dr. Caoile (Ponderosa downstairs)
    • Sinfonia sectionals with CWU students

    Saturday, October 19 (cont.)
    12:00-12:45 PM – Lunch in Manashtash Lodge

    After lunch, everyone clear out of your room and put your stuff in Ponderosa

    1:00-1:30 PM – Sinfonia rehearsal, Chamber and Concert field games/free time


    1:45-2:15 PM – Chamber rehearsal, Sinfonia and Concert field games/free time
    2:30-3:00 PM – Concert Orchestra rehearsal, Chamber and Sinfonia field games/free time
    3:15-4:00 – Concert Run Through
    4:00-4:30 PM – Pack up and load instruments and luggage on buses
    4:30 PM – Depart Lazy F Ranch
    6:00 PM – Arrive at Newport

    Sectional Locations:
    Violin 1 – basketball court
    Violin 2 – Ping Pong Room
    Viola – Ridgeview
    Cello – New Cafeteria
    Bass – Saddle Pockets

    Friday Evening Station Activities!!!


    Station #1: Arts & Crafts – DIY bracelets and color pencil drawing
    - Time: 7:30-9:45 PM
    - Location: Craft Cabin – G

    Station #2: Ling Ling Workout – in memory of TwoSet Violin


    - Time: 8:00-9:00 PM
    - Location: Lodge – D
    - E.g. Double speed, reading while playing, guessing the tempo

    Station #3: Chill, Cards, Cup Noodles


    - Time: 7:30-9:45 PM
    - Location: Trading Post Cabin – 11
    - Movie: My Neighbor Totoro
    - Card/board games (provided by Lazy F)
    - Cup Noodles (72 cups; first come first serve; one/person only)

    Station #4: Pool/pingpong/karaoke


    - Time: 7:30-11:00 PM
    - Location: recreational barn – I
