 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The college website for IET Lucknow was developed to provide newly admitted students with a
comprehensive overview of the college and access to important information and resources. The website was
built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and features a variety of interactive and user-friendly elements.

This website has been designed for Freshers and aims to achieve 4 main goals:-
1. To provide better study material.
2. To give the freshers a general idea about the college clubs and activities.
3. To provide an online campus tour by means of photographs and videos.
4. To enable students to buy or sell their pre-owned items be they books, notes, or furniture. You

I. Introduction

A. Background

The newly admitted students of IET Lucknow need a platform to familiarize

themselves with the college, its facilities, and its activities. In light of this, a college
website was created to provide an online space for students to explore the college.

B. Purpose and objective of the project

The purpose of the project was to provide an online platform for newly admitted
students to easily explore IET Lucknow. The main objective was to provide study
materials, along with a brief description of the clubs and societies organized by the
college students.

C. Scope of the project

The scope of the project included the use of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create a
visually appealing and interactive website. The website includes college videos,
photos, and other materials to help students understand the college better.
Additionally, it includes study materials, along with a description of the clubs and
societies organized by the college students.

II. Technical Details

A. Overview of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are the three technologies used to create the college
website for IET Lucknow. HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) is used to
structure the content and information on the website. CSS (Cascading Style
Sheets) is used to define the layout, design, and style of the website. JavaScript
is a programming language used to make the website interactive and dynamic,
enabling features such as videos, photos, and other interactive elements. These

 three technologies work together to create a visually appealing and user-
friendly website for the newly admitted students of IET Lucknow.

B. Implementation of each technology in the website

The HTML was used to structure the content and information of the website,
including the text, images, and other multimedia elements. CSS was used to
define the layout, design, and style of the website, making it visually
appealing to the users. JavaScript was used to make the website interactive,
enabling features such as college videos, photos, and other interactive
elements. For example, JavaScript was used to create a responsive navigation
menu, to make the video player work, and to create interactive elements such
as buttons and dropdown menus. Overall, each technology was utilized to
create a well-designed, visually appealing, and user-friendly website for the
newly admitted students of IET Lucknow.

C. Discussion of challenges faced and resolution:

The development of any website comes with its own set of challenges. During
the development of the college website for IET Lucknow, some of the
challenges faced included:

Design and Layout: One of the challenges was to ensure that the website was
visually appealing and had a user-friendly layout. This was overcome by carefully
choosing the colour scheme, font, and other design elements and regularly
testing the layout to make sure it was visually appealing and easy to navigate.

Technical Challenges: Another challenge was to make sure that the website was
functional and worked well on different devices and browsers. This was
overcome by thoroughly testing the website on different devices and browsers,
fixing any compatibility issues, and ensuring that the website was responsive and
adaptive.

Content Management: A third challenge was to ensure that the content on the
website was up-to-date, accurate, and relevant. This was overcome by regularly
reviewing the content and updating it as necessary.

 Overall, these challenges were overcome by careful planning, testing, and
problem-solving, resulting in a well-designed, user-friendly, and functional
website for the newly admitted students of IET Lucknow.

III. Features and Functionalities

The college website for IET Lucknow has a number of features designed to
help newly admitted students easily explore the college and access important
information. Some of the key features of the website include:
College Videos: A section dedicated to showcasing videos of the college,
including tours, events, and student testimonials.
Photos: A section showcasing photos of the college, its facilities, and events.
Study Materials: A section dedicated to providing students with study materials,
including syllabi, lecture notes, and other relevant resources.
Club and Society Descriptions: A section describing the various clubs and
societies available at the college, including their objectives, activities, and how to

navigate the website and find the information they need.
Interactive Elements: A variety of interactive elements, such as buttons and

B. Explanation of the study materials provided:

It basically contains all the PYQ’s papers of all semesters of year-wise along
with the short notes of some of the major subjects for which students of the
first year mainly go here and there, contact their respective
seniors for an overview of how to deal with the upcoming
exams.
It includes all the quantum books and pdfs of all subjects to cover their
syllabus in one go so that they can easily clear their exam without getting
back in any of the subjects.

 C. Overview of the clubs and societies organized by the college students:

As we all know when newly admitted students come to their college for the
first time they are mainly excited about the clubs, and fests organized in the
college or not.
For that there is no need to ask any seniors for a brief description, we have
mainly included some of the major active clubs such as Swaranjali, Robotics,
Insaniax, Parmarth, Mirage, etc. and clubs Electrical Engineering Society[EES]
society, etc.

IV. Conclusion

The website includes several key features, including college videos, photos, study
materials, club and society descriptions, and an intuitive navigation menu. These
features help students get a better understanding of the college and its offerings,
and provide them with valuable resources that can aid in their academic success .
The development of the website presented several challenges, but these were
overcome through careful planning and implementation. The end result is a user-
friendly and informative website that provides students with valuable resources as
they embark on their college journey.
In conclusion, the college website for IET Lucknow is a successful project that
meets the needs of newly admitted students. It provides them with an accessible
and comprehensive overview of the college and its offerings, and will be an
invaluable resource as they navigate their college experience. Looking ahead,
there is potential for further development and improvement of the website, based
on user feedback and changing needs
