In Iloilo, a Dengue outbreak has been declared by their government because
the province has reached 4,000 Dengue cases from the first week of January
up to this month of August,while the Iloilo has declared a Dengue outbreak,
in Pangasinan it has been recorded that they reached 1,695 dengue cases
since the start of the year 2024, but before we tackle more about the
Dengue in our country, we should be aware of what is this virus so to
understand Dengue these are some questions :
What is Dengue?
Dengue is a virus that can be transferred through the bite of a mosquito, but
only a few mosquitoes are a carrier and a transmitter of a disease, so we
should avoid or prevent the Dengue that might happen to us.
Where does Dengue starts?
It starts in a water container that has been stocked for too long like from the
tires, buckets, birdbaths, water storage jars, and flower pots.Female
mosquitoes lay their eggs in the cointainers that has been mentioned
Why does dengue happen?
Dengue occurs when the surroundings or the area has a lack of sanitation
and there’s no mosquito control in its area.
Who will be on the high-risk of getting Dengue
The people who will be on a high-risk or in-danger of having a Dengue are
the infants that are aged 1 year old, pregnant women, adults that are aged
65 years old and a person who has a medical conditions.
When does the Dengue occurs, when you get bitten by the mosquito?
The early signs of dengue are sudden high fever, severe headache, pain
behind the eyes, and pain in muscles, joints symptoms and also feeling
nauseous or vomiting, now that you have been bitten the signs that has been
