SECTION A (40 MARKS)
Answer all the questions in this section.
A committee of seven people is to be selected from 4 men and 6 women. If
the committee must have at least two men, determine the total possible
number of ways of selecting the committee. (05 marks)
A cylindrical can of capacity 1000 cm} is made from a thin sheet of metal.
The can is open at the top and closed at the bottom. The radius of the bottom
is x cm. Find the value of x that will minimise the area of the sheet to be
used. (Leave x in your answer) (05 marks)
The equation of an ellipse is 4x? + 25y + 8x - 100y +4 =0.
Determine the;
