Instructions:
Please read the following instructions carefully before submitting assignment:
You need to use Packet Tracer tool and MS Word document to prepare and submit the assignment on VU-LMS.
It should be clear that your assignment will not get any credit if:

1. The assignment is submitted after due date.


2. The assignment is not in the required format (doc or docx).
3. The submitted assignment does not open or file is corrupt.
4. Assignment is copied (partial or full) from any source (websites, forums, students, etc.).

Objective:

To enhance the learning capabilities of the students about:


 Designing and configuring a basic network using a switch and a hub in Packet Tracer Tool
 Understand the role of cabling and network devices in network setup
Task: Using Packet Tracer tool, create a small network with three PCs connected with each other using a switch
and a hub.
Instructions:
1. PC Naming:
o Name the first PC with your Virtual University (VU) ID.

o Name the second PC with your own name.

o Name the third PC with your city's name.

2. Network Setup:
o Use a switch to connect PC 1 and PC 2.

o Use a hub to connect PC 3 to the network.

o Connect each PC and hub to the switch using straight-through cables.

3. IP Address Assignment:
o Assign a unique IP address to each PC:

 Example:
 PC 1 (VU ID): 192.168.1.10
 PC 2 (Your Name): 192.168.1.11
 PC 3 (City's Name): 192.168.1.12

How to submit the solution:

You are required to take screenshot of complete topology design and paste in in MS Word document as a solution
file and submit on VU-LMS within its due date.
