OpenText Archiving & Document Access for SAP Solutions

(ADA)Questionnaire

Generating the ADA License Report

An ADA License Report is requested for each of the production SAP installations using ADA. Please note
the Customer Identifier in the report title for each installation. If multiple login clients are used, the
report should include both the Customer Identifier and the login client name/identifier.

Note:
The ADA License Report is restricted to the login client. If a customer uses different
clients, a report for every client must be generated.

The method for running the license report is dependent on the version installed of both ADA and SAP
software. Please refer to the notes below to determine if the software required to generate the report
is included in your installation, or if you will need to download the transport file and documentation
from the OpenText Knowledge Center in order to run the report.

Depending on which version of software is installed, one of the transactions below can be used to
generate the license report.

Or

Make sure to choose only the OT archive servers when the tool comes up.

If neither transaction works, then a transport would need to be installed and executed.

The links below provide additional information on running the report and installing the transport if
needed.

▪ If the ABAP Add-on “OpenText Archiving & Document Access for SAP Solutions” version 9.5 or
higher (for SAP ERP 4.7 and higher) is installed, the license report is included with the already
installed OpenText Archiving & Document Access (ADA) software. The links below are

Appendix B
Determining if an OpenText Archive Server is attached

Here is a very brief description of how to check whether an archive server is connected to an SAP
System for data or document archiving via ArchiveLink.

▪ Go to the transaction OAC0

This transaction displays all content repositories
• Look for a content repository listed as “HTTP content server” under Storage Type. This will be
an ArchiveLink archive server, as noted by the comment at the bottom of the screen when that
content repository is selected

EXAMPLE: In the screenshot below, Content Repository “6N” with description “Denali SP2 Archive 1” is
the OpenText Archive Server attached to this SAP system.
