ABSTRACT

The project "Jal Wala" focuses on providing an efficient e-commerce platform for water-
related products, addressing growing concerns about water quality and accessibility. The
project’s primary goal is to create a user-friendly online store where customers can purchase
a variety of water including water bottles, water campers and water tankers, eco-friendly
water products, with an emphasis on accessibility in both urban and rural areas.
he demand for quality water products is increasing due to concerns over water quality, rapid
urbanization, and seasonal water shortages, which are further complicated by inconsistent
and expensive water tanker services. This platform aims to resolve these issues by offering a
convenient and reliable online source for water supply products.
"Jal Wala" aims to bridge the gap in water supply accessibility by offering an intuitive
platform that enables users to find and purchase essential water products. With a geographic
reach that extends to underserved regions, the platform promotes eco-friendly products like
reusable water bottles. The site will include advanced technological features, such as a user-
friendly interface with secure transactions and customizable customer accounts, allowing
order tracking and access to personalized recommendations.
This project leverages the growth in e-commerce and technological advancements in the
water supply industry. By integrating with modern digital payment systems and APIs for
notifications and order updates, the platform offers an accessible and secure shopping
experience. The opportunity to integrate smart technology for monitoring water usage aligns
with the current shift toward digital solutions in water management.
The system will operate on devices like PCs, mobile phones, and tablets, supported by web
servers such as WAMP or XAMPP, with essential APIs for order notifications via SMS or
email. Payment processing is supported by services like Razorpay, ensuring secure
transactions. The minimum hardware requirements include a dual-core processor and 2GB+
RAM for efficient operation. The project development team includes Rambabu Dhakad,
responsible for front-end design and user experience, and Mohit Mourya, who manages the
back-end server logic, database management, and marketing strategies for "Jal Wala."
Together, they aim to build a reliable, accessible platform that not only meets market
demands but also promotes sustainable water consumption practices.

TITLE

JAL WALA: AN E-COMMERCE PLATFORM FOR RELIABLE

WATER SUPPLY SOLUTIONS :

Water is a basic human need, yet access to clean and affordable water remains a persistent
challenge in many regions. Jal Wala is an innovative project designed to tackle these
challenges using the power of technology. By leveraging an e-commerce platform, the
project offers users an easy, efficient, and reliable way to purchase water-related products
and services. From water purifiers to bottled water, the platform provides transparency,
convenience, and eco-friendly options to its users. With features such as user-friendly
navigation, secure transactions, and partnerships with reliable suppliers, Jal Wala represents a
significant step forward in addressing water supply challenges, promoting sustainability, and
empowering communities.

1
PROBLEM STATEMENT

Access to clean and affordable water is a growing issue in urban and rural areas alike.
Customers face challenges such as:
 Unreliable Services: Many water tanker suppliers fail to deliver on time and
often provide poor-quality water.

 Seasonal Price Hikes: During the summer, when demand peaks, suppliers
frequently raise their prices, exploiting customers.

 Quality Concerns: Lack of transparency in the water supply chain leads to

distrust and health risks.

 Accessibility Issues: Rural and underserved areas have limited or no access to

reliable water services.

This project aims to solve these issues by creating a platform that ensures:
 Timely delivery of high-quality water.
 Transparent pricing and fair practices.
 A wide range of water-related products and services available at the click of a button.
By addressing these challenges, Jal Wala provides a modern, scalable solution that aligns
with the global need for sustainable water management.

Rapid urban growth increases the need for efficient access to water-related products.
6. Accessibility:
E-commerce platforms offer 24/7 access to products, making it easier for customers
to purchase essential water supplies at their convenience.
7. Ease of Use:
Users can compare products, read reviews, and make informed decisions without the
hassle of visiting physical stores.
8. Social Impact:
The project has the potential to improve public health by ensuring access to clean
drinking water, reducing waterborne diseases, and educating communities about
sustainable practices.
