Surface Preparation All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from all loosely adhering particles.
Correct joint depths can be established by inserting polyethylene foam tightly into
the joint.
Where joints have been formed with fibre filler board, this must be raked back to the
required depth and a bond breaker tape inserted.
Protect surfaces with masking tape.
Application Temperature + 5°C to 35°C.
Service Temperature - 35°C to + 50°C (temporary + 70°C).
Priming Use Sika Primer® -T68 for all cement bound building materials, exposed brickwork,
asbestos cement, natural and artificial stonework, polyester and hard PVC.
Drying time: min. 1 hrs / max. 5 hrs.
Use Sika Primer® -35 combined with Sika Primer® -T68 for all metal, glass, clinker
and stoneware. Sika Primer® -35 to dry min. 2 hrs. before application of
Sika Primer® - T68.
®
Use Sika Primer PU for bituminous covering joints. Two coatings necessary with
an interval drying time of min. 12 hrs. and 24 hrs. final drying.
No priming necessary for Epoxy and Polyurethane. These substrates to be ground,
roughened and activated with Colma-Cleaner (Consult always directions given on/in
packings).
Construction

Mixing Using a low speed drill (500-800 RPM) thoroughly mix the contents of Comp. (A)
before adding Comp. (B). After adding, mix together for not less than 3 minutes until
a smooth even consistency is achieved.
Application Use a plastic watering can, pour the mixed sealant into the prepared joint. Remove
masking tape tape within 30 minutes.
Cleaning Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with Sika Colma-Cleaner.
Pot life 10°C: 60-70 min.
20°C: 40-50 min.
30°C: approx. 30 min.
Important Notes Q Protect against exposure to oil for 1 week and water for 10 hrs. after pouring.
Q Do not use for expansion joints in bituminous coverings.
Q Maximum slope 3%.
Q Not suitable in contact with drinking water.
Q Please consult the Technical Department for advice on chemical resistance.
