1. Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Thanh, I am from Quang Nam. I'm 18 years old. I have just graduated
from Viet Anh High School. Now I am studying a freshman at the University of
Finance and Marketing in HCM city.
2. Why are you here?
I come here interview for a US F1 visa.
3. Why don’t you continue to study in Vietnam?
Studying university in Vietnam is still good for me but I have a plan of study abroad
in September 2021 but because of the covid outbreak especially in the South, I can’t
prepare documents and visa interview. I’am still studying at university in VN. Now I
have enough conditions to study abroad, so I decied to stop studying in VN and study
abroad in the US.
4. Why do you want to study in the US?
The US is the country with the most modern education system in the word. Not only
focus on knowledge, the US eduction system very focus on practive. Studying abroad
there, I will learn many new things, which will help my future life.
5. What will you study in University? What is your major?
In the first year, I will study some general subjects in Marketing. I also study more
English skills and study skills to help me prepare well into my second year.
6. Why do you choose this major?
I suppose Marketing is a dynamic industry because this job is always catch of new
trends. You know,
when I see some advertising on Tik Tok, I feel very interesting and have a lot of ideas
but I don’t know how to do it so when I study about marketing job, I have many
chance. Firstly, it helps me to develop creativity and gives me some ideas into
practies. Secondly, I feel more confident to create my new ideas in the future.
7. Which university will you study in?
I will study at university of Kansas
8. Why?
Firsly, the university of Kansas is one of 66 invited members of the Association of
American University and this is one of the best badchelor’s degree business school in
the US.
Secondly, this is a great environment for international students. It’s located in the city
of Lawrence which is in the top 10 safe cities to study in college in the US.
Finally, the fees there are very reasonable. Total around 43,000 dollars.
9. What high school do you go to?
I study Viet Anh high school. It’s a private school. The cost pay for my high school is
about 200 milion VND per year.
10. Who will pay for your studies?
My parents will pay for my studies.
11. What do your parents/ father/ mother do?
My parents planted acacia on their land. Income more than 200 milion VND per year.
They have private business in agricultural products. My father usually buy
agricultural crops in the forest and sells them in the factories by his truck.
And my mom sells food everyday at home. Income about 90 milion VNĐ per month.

My parents have been doing free business in the countryside for a long time, but they
didn't do business papers because to compress taxes. But they have a local certificate
that they have a business and have a monthly income.
Additionally, my parents have saving book with more than 1 billion VND to support
me to study.
12. Do you have any relative in the US?
My uncle and grandparents are in the US
My uncle is a restaurant owner.
13. Why don’t you stay with your relatives in the US?
My relatives are in Atlanta and I am in Kansas, we are in 2 different states so I don't
live with them. I come to the US mainly to study, so staying at school will be more
convenient for my studies.
14. What’s your future career plan? What will you do after finishing your studies in the
US?
I will study a bachelor’s degree in marketing in the US for 4 years in. After that, I
come back VN stay with my parents and I will apply to some big companies like
Vingroup to develop my career and my country.
15. Do you want to find a part time job during study in the US?
I come to the US to study and I want to get a good degree. If possible, I will just find
a part-time job at my school and join clubs to improve my knowledge and make
friends.
16. if given the chance, would you like to stay in the US?
No, that violates section 214(b) of the United States Immigration and Naturalization
Code (INA). I don't stay in the US, I want to come back in Vietnam stay with my
parents and develop my career and my country

vừa qua vì covid nên k thể đi được. mỗi dịp nghỉ hè tôi thường đi du lịch nhiều trong
nước.

Mục đích tui qua đi học k phải ở với người thân. Nhưng dịp hè hay tết tui sẽ qua nhà
người thân thăm họ.
