GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS

Guidelines

1. Eligibility:
- Open to all Grade 11 students enrolled in the Physical Education 1 program.
- Participants will compete as a class.

2. Themes:
- The class may select a style or message that reflects the theme of the program (e.g.,
fitness, trend, fun).
- The PE teacher is responsible for checking the theme of the class presentation.

3. Routine Duration:
- Each performance must be between 5 to 7 minutes in length, including entrance and
exit.
- The class must strictly adhere to the time limit to avoid penalties.

4. Music:
- The class is responsible for selecting and providing their own music.
- Music must be appropriate and free from explicit content.
- A digital copy of the music must be submitted to their PE teacher at least one week
before the competition.

5. Costumes and props:

- Costumes should be appropriate, cohesive, and reflect the theme of the routine.
- The class is encouraged to use creative elements or props that enhance their
performance.

6. Stretching and Warm-Up:

- Each class must perform their own stretching and warm-up session before the
competition begins to prevent injuries.
- All participants must attend this session. They will be monitored by their class president.

7. Safety:
- All routines must prioritize the safety of participants.
- Performances must avoid any dangerous stunts or movements that could lead to injury.

8. Rehearsals:
- The class is encouraged to have their practices or rehearsals in the school premise. Hiring
of choreographers is strictly prohibited. The PE teacher/ class adviser will only facilitate and
monitor the class performance. This will allow the students to showcase their creativity.

Note: A 5-point deduction per judge will be applied for every violation.
Mechanics

1. Competition Format:

advance.

criteria.
- Judges should have experience in dance, aerobics, or physical education.

3. Audience Participation:
- Audience engagement is encouraged. Teams can include elements to interact with the
crowd.
