* Add ed to regular verbs. The verb is the same for all persons: I, you, she,
he, it, we and they.
Notes
* Spelling:
Verbs ending in:
like - liked e, add d.
study - studied consonant + y, change y =i + ed
' stop - stopped vowel + consonant, double the
consonant and add ed.
* yand w at the end of a word are not consonant sounds. So verbs ending in y
or w do not double the consonant:
play - played
