Who is the father of Internet?
Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn are often referred to as the "Fathers of the Internet" because of their key
roles in designing the fundamental communication protocols that make up the internet. They
developed the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and the Internet Protocol (IP), which are still
the backbone of the internet today.

Write a short history on internet


A short history of the internet:

1960s:

- The United States Department of Defense's Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) funded
a project to create a network of computers that could communicate with each other.
- This project, called ARPANET, was the first operational packet switching network, and it was
developed in the late 1960s.

1970s:

- Other networks, such as the National Science Foundation Network (NSFNET), were developed to
connect universities and research institutions.
- These networks were initially isolated from each other, but they eventually began to interconnect,
forming a "network of networks."

1980s:

- The Internet Protocol (IP) was developed, allowing different networks to communicate with each
other and forming the basis of the modern internet.
- The Domain Name System (DNS) was also developed, making it easier for users to access
websites using easy-to-remember domain names instead of IP addresses.

1990s:

- The World Wide Web (WWW) was invented by Tim Berners-Lee, making it easy for users to
access and share information using web browsers and hyperlinks.
- Internet Service Providers (ISPs) began to offer internet access to the general public.
- The internet became widely available, and its popularity grew rapidly.

2000s:

- Broadband internet became widely available, allowing for faster and more reliable connections.
- Social media, online shopping, and streaming services became popular.
- The internet became an integral part of modern life, transforming the way we communicate, work,
and access information.

Present day:

- The internet continues to evolve, with advances in technologies like artificial intelligence,
blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
- The internet has become a global network of billions of interconnected devices, revolutionizing
the way we live, work, and interact with each other.

What come across in internet

accessed through the internet.

people to communicate with each other.

4. Entertainment: Movies, TV shows, music, and video games are streamed and downloaded over
the internet.

5. E-commerce: Online shopping, banking, and financial transactions are conducted over the
internet.

6. Education: Online courses, tutorials, and educational resources are available through the internet.

7. Social media: Platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram allow users to share updates,
connect with others, and join communities.

8. Malware and viruses: Harmful software and viruses can spread through the internet,
compromising device security.
9. Cyber threats: Hacking attempts, phishing scams, and other cyber threats can occur over the
internet.

10. IoT data: Data from Internet of Things (IoT) devices, such as smart home devices and sensors,
is transmitted over the internet.
