CUSTOMER METRICS

➢ Distribution of Customers across States

3
Observations:

• New Wheels has a customer base across 49 different states.

• From the above Bar graph, New Wheels has highest number of customers from
California, Texas, Florida, New York and District of Columbia.
• The least customers are from Vermont, Wyoming, Maine, North Dakota and
Mississippi states.

4
➢ Average Customer Ratings by Quarter

Observations:

• Assuming 5 being the highest and 1 being the least rating.

• By Considering the past 1 year’s data – the customer rating has been gradually
decreasing quarter-on-quarter.
• This shows the inability of New-wheels to take customers tastes and preferences
into consideration or the services pre and post their sales.

5
➢ Trend of Customer Satisfaction

Observations:

• As seen in the above stacked bar graph, customer satisfaction trends are falling
Quarter-on-quarter across all the rating types from Very Bad to Very Good.

6
➢ Top Vehicle makers preferred by customers

Observations:

• The top vehicle makers preferred by the customers are Chevrolet followed by
Ford.

7
➢ Most preferred vehicle makes in each state

8
Observations:

• All the states have been grouped together in the above table and the preferred
vehicles in each state have been categorized.
• For Example, Customers in the state of Alabama prefer “Dodge” type of Vehicle
make. In California state – Ford, Dodge, Audi, Nissan and Chevrolet makes are
preferred.
• This type of categorization in each state helps us to understand the customer
tastes and helps us in promoting these vehicle types/makes in those states by
reducing the customer delivery times. This can improve customer satisfaction.

9
REVENUE METRICS:

➢ Trend of Purchases by Quarter

Observations:

• Clearly, the number of orders of New-wheels have declined over Quarters.

• This is an indication that New-wheels is unable to meet customer’s expectations.
If this continues going forward, the company might have to close down.
• It is important for New-wheels to understand Customer’s pulse and improve on
the areas it is not performing up to their customer’s expectations.

10
➢ Quarter on Quarter % change in Revenue

Observations:

• The revenue of New-wheels is declining Quarter-on-quarter.

• However, this decline is at an improving stage.
• When we look into the above table, though the revenue fell in terms of numbers,
the percentage decline from one quarter to another is getting better i.e., from a
quarter-on-quarter fall if 27% and 32% to 3%.

11
➢ Trend of Revenue and Orders by Quarter

Observations:

• The revenue of New-wheels has declined as the number of orders fell Quarter-
on-quarter.
• However, the number of order counts where declining at an improved rate.
• Though the number of orders remained constant, revenue in quarter 3 fell
drastically.

12
SHIPPING METRICS

➢ Average Discount offered by Credit Card Type

Observations:

• All the credit card types offer a discount ranging from 0.58 to 0.64.
• Of all the credit card types highest discount was offered by Laser and the least
was offered by diners-club-international.

13
➢ Time taken to ship orders by Quarter

Observations:

• The average time taken to ship the orders is increasing Quarter-on-quarter.

• This is a negative indication which is in turn effect our no. of customer orders to
decrease.

14
Insights and Recommendations

• New-wheels to concentrate on areas it is underperforming:

1. Look into customer’s preferences.
2. Reduce order delivery times
3. Consider the type of vehicle make customers are preferring to buy
in each state.
4. Improve their post-sale services.
5. Promote their products in states with highest customer count.
6. Get feedback from customers at regular intervals on what’s lacking
in their services for areas of improvement.
