HUMAN RIGHTS LAW AND PRACTICE

GROUP-A Attempt any four questions. Each answer should not exceed 200 words 1. Discuss the origin of Human rights and enumerate its classifications. 10
2. Discuss in brief the relationship between the rights enshrined under the 10 International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and the rights enshrined under Part III of the Constitution of India.
3. Discuss the legal provisions in India to protect the rights of women. 10
4. Mention the role played by the Human Rights Commission of India in 10
protection of basic human rights of the people.
5. Discuss in brief the role played by the Indian judiciary in protecting the 10 fundamental Human rights of prisoners.
6. Explain in brief the European convention on human rights. 10

7. Write short notes on any two of the following: 5×2 = 10
(a) Features of ICESCR (b) Right to development (c) Right to self determination (d) Composition of State Human Rights Commission.
