Protect yourselves guys....

Let us not fear from the incidents that are growing day by day...but
instead let us learn how to protect ourselves...and Let us try to save
others.....

Dive into our module to know how to convert our out of hand situations
into situations in our grip...with some basic self-defense techniques..

The foremost things that you should be following even before the
situation turns bad are...

Presenting
Presenting yourself
yourself
with
with confidence
confidence

Confident body language

is what tells a predator
within a second glance
that you are not an easy
target. When you, move
with confidence.
Always
Always being
being aware
aware of
of your
your surroundings
surroundings
and
and
Trusting
Trusting your
your instincts
instincts

Awareness is as simple step that you can

follow for powerful impacts. An alert
person is more difficult to attack than a
distracted person and therefore less likely
to be selected for crime. Pay attention to
your environment, people around youand
potential escape routes that you can
use.Alcohol in excess can impair your
judgement and reduce your alertness....so
STAY SOBER, STAY SAFE!

The gut feeling that something isn't

right is the most important warning
sign indicating that you are not safe.
Instincts work faster than intellect
when it comes to your safety and
require no further validation. Always
listen to your gut feeling about a
person, place or situation. If a situation
feels uncomfortable, trust your
instincts and leave.
Say No and Mean It
Be assertive. When someone speaks
to you, speak with confidence and
firmness. Don't shy away from eye
contact. Say no to anything that you
do not want to do or to anything that
would put you in danger.

Stay calm and protect

your personal space
In a threatening situation, focus on
staying calm and think clearly. Aim
to keep people at a two arms length
distance away. That's your personal
space. Think of anyone within that
space is a potential threat. Let
distance be your first defense.

Never go to a second location

The secondary location is a place that an

abductor is trying to take the victim. It's
usually a private place that allows them
to commit their desired crime without any
risk. So,beware of where you are being
taken to.
And...when the situation is getting worse!!!
BE THE THREAT....
DON'T HESITATE TO FIGHT!
Never let an attacker remove your options. Don't
allow your hands to be tied. You must fight back
while you have the option to and while your
chances of success are still high.

You might not prevail against a pro MMA fighter

in a boxing ring....but everyone has the power to
survive or avoid the most common attacks that
occur in the real world. This power comes not from
being stronger but by understanding strategy.
Strategy is what allows you to succeed without
fighting and what gives you the advantage when
fighting is necessary. Now here, let us know some
tactics...

Try to stand with feet in

shoulder-width apart,
knees slightly bent, and
weight evenly distributed
:: SELF DEFENCE SKILLS ::
PALM STRIKE : Strike an
attacker’s face or neck with
the base of your palm.

PUNCHING : Use a firm

fist , aiming for vulnerable
areas ( face , neck , solar
plexus ).

ELBOW STRIKE : Use your

elbows to strike the attacker’s
face , neck or in the centre of
the torso 4-5 cm above the
navel (solar plexus).

KNEE STRIKE :
Target the attacker’s
groin or stomach with
a knee strike.
KICKING : By targeting
the groin , knees or the
stomach.

ESCAPE FROM GRABS : Learn to break

free from wrist , arm and neck grabs.

CHOKES :
Get behind your opponent
and wrap your dominant arm
around your opponent’s neck.
Apply pressure to the sides of
your opponent’s neck , not
their throat , to cut off blood
flow to the brain and to make
them pass out.

HOOK KICK : For a right front leg hook kick ,

one should aim slightly to the left of the target
before moving the foot back and hit the target
with the heel of the foot.
And now let’s see some HUMAN WEAK
POINTS on the body where even a small
attack can be much effective…

1)POKING THE EYES :: If you

manage to successfully hurt
your attacker in the eyes , it
may weaken him by making
him blind. It also hurts a lot.
It works much better than a
punch.

2)BREAKING THE NOSE ::

Nose is a central , unprotected
piece of your face.That makes
it weak to impacts. Palm
strikes can be very efficient .

3)JAW :: A punch to the

jaw can easily knock out
the person and make
their head spin.
4)HIT THE TEMPLES :: The temples are located
on the two sides of your head. A severe hit can
lead to too much pressure on the brain and
oxygen shortage. The best way to hit the
temples would be with a HOOK PUNCH , OPEN
PALM STRIKE , ELBOW STRIKE , or a ROUND
KICK to the head if you’re able to do so.

5)RIBS :: A punch or a
kick to the side of the
chest will be very painful
and may even cripple one
of their arms.

6)PUNCH TO THE THROAT ::

Throw a straight punch right
to the throat . The more
power, the more damage it
does.
7)SOLAR PLEXUS :: It is located between the
chest and the navel. Receiving a hit on the
solar plexus is really painful and may stop
your attacker from breathing for a few
seconds. PALM STRIKES , PUNCHES and
DEFENSIVE KICKS are very effective on the
solar plexus.

8)STRIKES TO THE EARS :: Palm strikes to

the ears can lead to partial hearing loss or
hearing sounds like ringing , swooshing and
hissing.
9)SPINE :: Attack on the back of
the neck with an ELBOW
STRIKE may paralyse him or
may lead to death.

10)KICK THE GROIN :: The most known target

in self defence as it is an easy task to do. Even
a slight kick can do a lot of damage. In a
standing position, a kick with the leg is the
most effective way to strike the groin. But in-
ground fighting , use your palms to strike it
and get out of there as soon as possible.

11)SHIN :: A KICK to the

shin is quick , painful and
maybe a distracting
attack before a PUNCH.

12)CRUSH THE TOES ::

It can be very useful
especially if he is
grabbing you from
behind.
