ENCS 6041/483 Presentation Assignment 1

Part 2: Innovation (10 points)

You and your group members will create a potential project idea to work on and develop throughout the
semester. The second part of the project will focus on the innovation element of your product. You will
demonstrate the product using the innovation-related theories discussed in this course.

The innovation part of the project presentation is worth 10 points. Each group member gets the same grade for
this presentation. Any group member who cannot present in the group’s presentation will lose 2 points
individually (other group members are not impacted).

Presentation Rubric:
1. Presentation Time Control (1 point):
Each group presents for about 6 minutes.

2. Presentation Quality (4 points):


(1) Grounded in theory (1 point)
(2) Creative (1 point)
(3) Comprehensive and accurate analysis (1 point)
(4) Structured and logical articulation (1 point)

3. Group Collaboration (1 point)


• All group members get 1 point in this section if no collaboration issue is identified.
• All group members lose 1 point in this section if any group member reports any
collaboration issue.

4. PowerPoint Slides (1 point):


Each group should upload the PowerPoint presentation slides to Moodle before
July 25, 2023, at 5:45 p.m.
• Please upload the file in ppt format
• Please name the file as “Group Number_2_Title”
• Your PowerPoint presentation slides should contain your group number and the
following information for group members who present in the class presentation:
o Name
o ID

5. Quality of Answering and Asking Other Group Questions (3 points)


For each presentation, students from other groups will be randomly selected to ask questions or
give feedback as a discussant. If any student fails to perform this discussant role when called
upon, 1 point will be deducted for this student (other group members are not impacted).

** 0 points will be given for plagiarism.
