ABSTRACT
• Hotel businesses are one of the top-running businesses all over the world.

The hotel business has emerged with massive growth over the last decades.

Hotel industries are also one of the main reasons for tourism growth. The

section of the service industry that deals with guest housing and lodging are

the hotel business.

• The hotel businesses using a manual system for hotel reservations, bill

settlement, and others. Managing the task manually can be very hard and

time-consuming. There comes the role of the Room reservation System.

The room reservation system helps customers to reserve hotel rooms from

anywhere at any time with the medium of the internet.


INTRODUCTION
• The room reservation system for this hotel works as the mechanism

through which guests can create a secure online reservation. The Room

management system is capable of handling various activities like Guest

details, Reservation details, invoice details, and many more. This system

provides good information sharing to both customers and staff of the hotel.

• The room reservation system will be the means to eliminate the manual

system which then provide faster and more efficient operation in the hotel.

The Room reservation system is also considered to offer an efficient,

informative, and userfriendly website. Customers will be able to easily

make accommodation reservations, for different types of rooms, and select

rooms within their range simply by going to the hotel website.


EXISTING SYSTEM
• The current system of hotel management is fully based on paperwork. All
the records of customers and rooms which are available in the hotel are
managed by the hotel management through paper. Manually handling the
hotel room records, customer details, and other management is hard and
time-consuming.

• The manual system of room reservation is also time-consuming as a


customer have to visit the hotel first and ask for available rooms then
inspect those room then only if the customer like it, he will take the room
or else he won’t and for all these processes cost a lot of time.
ALGORITHM
ONLINE ROOM RESERVATION
Step 1: Search for Available Rooms:
Users specify their check-in and check-out dates, number of guests,
and any other preferences.
The system searches for available rooms matching the user's criteria.
Step 2: Display Available Rooms:
Present a list of available rooms along with relevant details such as
room type, price, amenities, and any special offers. Allow users to filter and
sort the displayed rooms based on their preferences.
Step 3: Room Selection:
Users choose the room they want to reserve from the list of available
option
Step 4: Reservation Confirmation:
After selection of rooms the request has been sent to admin if room is
available the booking is confirmed and the Invoice is generated.

• Limited availability

• Technical glitches

• Dependency on Internet connectivity

• Security concerns
PROPOSED SYSTEM
• The system have a user-friendly interface accessible via web browsers or
mobile apps. Users should be able to search for available rooms based on
criteria such as date, location, room type, and amenities.

• In proposed system, display real-time availability of rooms based on


current bookings and reservations. This ensures that users are not double-
booking rooms that are already reserved.

• An administrative dashboard allows staff to manage bookings, view


occupancy rates, add/update room inventory, and generate reports. Admins
should also have the ability to manually confirm or cancel bookings if
necessary.
ALGORITHM
ONLINE ROOM RESERVATION
Step 1: Availability Search
This algorithm searches for available rooms based on the user's specified
criteria such as date range, room type, location, and amenities.
Step 2: Booking Confirmation
After a user submits a booking request, this algorithm checks the
availability of the selected room for the specified dates. If the room is
available, the booking is confirmed, and the user is notified. If not, the
system may suggest alternative dates or rooms based on availability.
Step 3: Dynamic Pricing
Dynamic pricing algorithm to adjust room rates based on factors such as
demand, seasonality, occupancy rates, and competitor pricing.
Step 4: Recommendation

Recommendation algorithms analyze user preferences, booking


history, and behavior to suggest personalized room options or promotional
offers. These recommendations can enhance the user experience and increase
booking conversions

Step 5: Review and Rating

This algorithm aggregates user reviews and ratings for rooms and
accommodations, calculating average ratings and sorting reviews based on
relevance and helpfulness. It helps users make informed decisions when
selecting rooms and provides feedback to hotel management for service
improvement.

• RAM : 4 GB RAM or more

• Key Board : Standard Windows Keyboard

Software Requirements

• Operating System: WINDOWS 7 or higher

• Coding Language: JAVA, PHP, HTML

• Database : SQL SERVER

• IDE : VISUAL STUDIO CODE (VS CODE)

1. USER REGISTER

Allows users to create new accounts by providing necessary

information.

2. USER LOGIN

Authentication mechanism for registered users to access their

accounts. Profile Management Enables users to update their personal

information, change passwords, and manage communication preferences.

3. ROOM MANAGEMENT

Manages the list of available rooms, including room types,

descriptions, amenities, and availability status. Facilitates searching for

available rooms based on criteria such as date range, location, room type, and

occupancy.
4. RESERVATION MANAGEMENT

Booking Confirmation: Processes user bookings, verifies availability,


and confirms reservations.

Reservation Modification: Enables users to modify booking details


such as dates, room types, or additional services.

5.ADMIN

User Administration: Allows administrators to manage user accounts,


permissions, and access levels.

Room Administration: Enables administrators to add, edit, or remove


rooms from the inventory, update room details, and set pricing.

6.REVIEW AND RATING

Allows users to submit reviews and ratings for rooms,


accommodations, and overall experience.
CONCLUSION

• When the project is completed then the users can register and log in to their
account in this application and can easily book their choice of rooms in the
hotel. This system also helps to minimize the work of the staff by digitally
storing records. It also increases the reservations of the hotel.

• People can book rooms at the hotel from anywhere at any time. The invoices
are printed within a second with full accuracy. From this system, we expect to
introduce the hotel internationally.

• The well-developed website creates a user-friendly environment which makes


it easy to use the website.
FUTURE ENHANCEMENT

• Currently the user just entering the details and confirms his booking, the
payment gateway is not provided yet.

• We are working towards the secure payment gateway and the user security
to ensure his details are safe.

• If the payment gateway is provided the user can use their credit or debit
cards to make their payment, and the user can able to pay in UPI or Internet
banking also.,
