2) One of the ores of copper is the mineral chalcopyrite. A laboratory analysis of a


sample showed that 15.15g of chalcopyrite had the following composition by mass:
Copper 5.27g and iron 4.61g. Sulfur is the only other element present.
Use these figures to calculate the empirical formula of chalcopyrite.
