1 Purpose of This Simplification List

This document provides you with information regarding changes in the application handling after upgrading to
SAP Global Trade Services, edition for SAP HANA. This guide addresses the following target audience:

• System administrators
• Technical consultants
• Key users

SAP Global Trade Services, edition for SAP HANA is not the successor of SAP Global Trade Services. SAP
Global Trade Services, edition for SAP HANA is a new product, built entirely on one of the most advanced
in-memory platforms today – SAP HANA® – and incorporates modern design principles through the SAP Fiori
user experience (UX). SAP S/4HANA delivers massive simplifications (customer adoption, data model, user
experience, decision making, business processes, and so on.

Re-architecting a solution that has been growing over many years has, at points, evolved into different data
structures and architectures means that we also have to decide on one data structure and architecture as
we move forward. This is the only way that we can prepare the solution for increased simplicity and faster
innovation cycles.

SAP expects that the same applies to custom code that our customers or partners have implemented. This
code has grown over time, and experience has shown that a large share of custom code is no longer even used.
Simplifying your own extensions will benefit the general simplification of your system.

To enable our customers to plan and estimate their path to SAP S/4HANA, we have created the Simplification
List for SAP Global Trade Services, edition for SAP HANA. In this list, we describe in detail, on a functional
level, what happens to individual transactions and solution capabilities in SAP S/4HANA. Compared to the SAP
Business Suite products, we have in some cases merged certain functionality with other elements or reflected
it within a new solution or architecture.

2 General Information

2.1 Obsolete Functions

2.1.1 SAP Easy Access Menu for SAP Global Trade Services

The SAP Easy Access Menu is no longer supported for SAP GTS, edition for SAP HANA and is no longer
available, and was replaced by SAP Fiori Launchpad.

SAP Fiori Launchpad is a shell that hosts SAP Fiori apps, and provides the apps with services such as
navigation, personalization, embedded support, and application configuration.

The launchpad is the entry point to SAP Fiori apps on mobile and desktop devices. The launchpad displays
a home page with tiles. Each tile represents a business application that the user can launch. Tiles can also
display live status indicators, such as the number of open tasks. The launchpad is role-based. In other words,
the user’s role determines which app tiles are shown.

The home page is the heart of the launchpad and the central access point for SAP Fiori apps.

The page contains tiles, which are used to launch apps and can also show additional application information.
Users can personalize the home page by adding, removing, and grouping app tiles. Because the launchpad is
role-based, only apps that are relevant for the user’s role profile are displayed.

Required and Recommended Action

Inform end users about the changed user interface (UI) and how Fiori and the SAP Fiori Launchpad replace the
former UI concept.

2.1.2 Roles for SAP Global Trade Services

Roles for SAP Global Trade Services are no longer supported, are no longer available, and were replaced by the
Roles SAP GTS, edition for SAP HANA.

The Application Area Risk Management was closed, and the functions below it were reorganized. Compliance
Management and Preference Management became an independent application area.

3.1 Changes in Upload

The interfaces for numbers, texts and customs duties were reworked. Please ensure that your data provider
supports these new interfaces.

The corresponding upload reports such as /SAPSLL/SLLNS_XML_LOCAL_UPL101 were replaced by new

programs such as /SAPSLL/NSC_NUM_UPLOAD_101.

3.2 Introduction of the Numbering Scheme Content

Foreign trade classification numbers are managed in numbering scheme content. Numbering scheme content
is activated for a specific period in a numbering scheme.

Up to SAP Global Trade Services 11.0, the numbering scheme defined the origin and the structure of the
numbering system, as well as the usage in the documents. If there were changes to a numbering scheme that
made the replacement of the existing numbering scheme necessary, the documents also had to use the new
numbering scheme. To avoid a change of numbering schemes in documents, numbering scheme content is
introduced in SAP Global Trade Services, edition for SAP HANA. The numbering scheme content contains all
the definitions necessary for the numbering system. The numbering scheme content is then activated for a
period for a numbering scheme. The documents created use the numbering scheme when they are created.

5.1 Managing Long-Term Supplier's Declarations

The management of long-term supplier's declarations has been completely reworked. The old data model is
deprecated, and the corresponding reports and transactions were deleted and replaced by new reports and
Fiori applications as listed in the following subchapters.

5.1.1 LTSD Communication Settings

Transactions /SAPSLL/PARMA_MA_CPS and /SAPSLL/PARMA_MASS to assign suppliers to administrative

units no longer exist and were replaced by the Fiori app Manage Preference Properties - Suppliers.

It is not required to maintain all suppliers in the system. Instead, default settings configured in Customization
are used for all suppliers. In the Fiori app, you only maintain suppliers that have different settings.

Third-country suppliers no longer have to be set as not relevant for requests. This check is performed
automatically by the system.

Transactions /SAPSLL/PARMA_MA_CPC and /SAPSLL/PARMA_MASS_CPC to assign customers to

administrative units no longer exist and were replaced by the Fiori app Manage Preference Properties -
Customers.

It is not required to maintain all customers in the system. Instead, default settings configured in Customization
are used for all customers. In the Fiori app, you only maintain customers that have different settings.

5.1.2 Request of Long-Term Supplier's Declarations

Transaction /SAPSLL/PRE_WLI_001 to display the worklist for requesting long-term supplier's declarations
no longer exists. In the new request process, the system automatically creates LTSD requests based on
purchasing documents and material documents. Those requests can be processed in the new Fiori app
Manage Requests - Long-Term Supplier's Declaration.

LTSD requests are created using transactions /SAPSLL/LTSDREQ_1 and /SAPSLL/LTSDREQ_2, which replace
transactions /SAPSLL/PRE_VDI_101 and /SAPSLL/PRE_VDI_104 respectively.

Both new transactions are part of the GTS Administrator's role and are supposed to run in batch mode. The old
transactions were deleted.

6.1 Dashboards for Customs Management

The dashboards for customs management that served as an entry page in NetWeaver Business Client
(NWBC) are no longer delivered. The technology they were based on was deprecated. No substitution of
the dashboards is provided.

Within this context, the functionality of pinning export declarations to the pinboards also no longer exists. This
functionality was triggered by clicking on the pin icon to the left-hand side of the country flag when changing an
export declaration.

6.2 Supplementary Customs Declaration for Ending

Customs Warehouse (ECWPED)

The ending of the customs warehouse procedure to free circulation was conducted until changes of the
Union Customs Code (UCC) were implemented using transaction /SAPSLL/CUENP_MNTN. After the changes
of the UCC were implemented, the ending of the customs warehouse procedure was done using transactions /
SAPSLL/CUSWLP_01 and /SAPSLL/CUPED_WL01 only. For this reason, transaction /SAPSLL/CUENP_MNTN
became obsolete and is no longer available. For detailed information about the changes of this process, please
see SAP Note 2301849 .

6.3 Display Existing Export Declarations

The transaction to display existing export declarations (/SAPSLL/CULO_CUS_EXP) was replaced by the Display
Export Declarations Fiori app. This app allows you to search for existing customs declarations as before, but
provides new capabilities, for example, filtering by item level criteria or visualizing the result. Please see Display
Export Declarations in the product assistance for SAP Global Trade Services, edition for SAP HANA for details
of this app.

6.4 Display Outbound Activites for Export

The transaction to display outbound activities for exports (/SAPSLL/CL_CP_CUS_EX) was replaced by the
Manage Export Declarations Fiori app. This app provides you with an overview of export declarations that need
to be worked on and indicates an action proposal for what has to be done to reach the next process step for
an export declaration. Only those export declarations where action has to be taken are displayed. Please see
Manage Export Declarations in the product assistance for SAP Global Trade Services, edition for SAP HANA for
details of this app.

6.5 Monitor Export Confirmations

The transaction to monitor export confirmations (/SAPSLL/REPA_CUS) was replaced by the Exit
Confirmations Overdue Fiori app. This app provides you with an overview of all export declarations that do
not have an exit confirmation yet. By using the filter Days since release filter, you can define which export
declarations become critical and have to be monitored closely or followed up. In this app, it is also possible to
enter an exit confirmation manually. Please see Overdue Exit Confirmations for details of this app.

6.6 Display Processing Notes

The transaction to display processing notes (/SAPSLL/OP_QUERY_DOC) in the context of Outward Processing
(OPR) is no longer available. This transaction was used to track the usage of the INF2 documents while
this mechanism was in place to prove eligibility of a declaration to free circulation to make use of the OPR
advantage. Since the INF2 is no longer relevant, this transaction is no longer offered.

6.7 Maintain Customs Office Numbers

The transaction to maintain customs office numbers (/SAPSLL/BP_MAIN_DNR) is no longer available. The
transaction maintained the customs office numbers in GTS-specific tables. This storage was replaced by using
the identification type SLLCID for the business partner representing a customs office. In transaction BP, go to
tab Identification and add this ID type to the Identification Numbers section.

6.8 Display Country Assignment to Country Group

The transaction to display country assignments to country groups (/SAPSLL/CTYGRP_DISP) is no longer

available. The assignment of the countries to country groups can be maintained and displayed in the

The view name is /SAPSLL/V_CTYGRA.

6.9 Tax Transaction Engine

The Tax Transaction Engine for the calculation of the import turnover tax is no longer available.

The duty category “T0: Import Turnover Tax for EU (TTE) - Do Not Use” has been eliminated.

For the calculation of the import turnover tax, the duty category “NT: Import Turnover Tax for EU” has to be
used in the duty type definition.

As a consequence, please update your defined duty types if necessary, and check the necessary Customizing
settings to successfully calculate the import turnover tax in the customs import declaration duty calculation
successfully:

systems is transferred directly into Intrastat declarations.
