What are Quality Standards?

ISO standards are internationally agreed by experts.


Think of them as a formula that describes the best way of doing something in any sector
such as manufacturing, service, trade, health, engineering, IT etc.

INTRODUCTION TO ISO 9000

Set of standards for quality management & quality assurance developed by


International Organization for Standardization.
➢ It is applicable to organization of any size & is not specific to any one industry.
➢ It is considered baseline for quality system and is most widely known & impactful.
➢ It endorses overall organization rather than products to be called ISO certified.

These standards have been revised several times, including :

Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO),


the ISO 16000 series is a set of standards that deal with measuring
indoor air quality (IAQ).

Importance of ISO 16000:

✓ Safety of customers
✓ Conformance to company regulations and laws

Note: Poor quality can lead to various respiratory disease, allergies,


Long term health complications.
