IELTS – Saturday Class Lesson Plan / Schedule
Day 1: Saturday , November 16 (5 Hours) - Focus on Reading
Morning Session (3 Hours)
Period 1: Introduction and IELTS Overview (50 min) ➢ Icebreaker activity and introductions. ➢ Overview of IELTS structure (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking). ➢ Discussion on scoring, timing, and general test-taking strategies. Period 2: Reading Skill Review (50 min) ➢ Skimming, scanning, and understanding question types (True/False/Not Given, matching headings, multiple choice). ➢ Students practice these strategies with shorter sample passages and questions. Period 3: Reading Skill Review - Continued (50 min) ➢ Skimming, scanning, and understanding question types (True/False/Not Given, matching headings, multiple choice). ➢ Students practice these strategies with shorter sample passages and questions.
Lunch Break (1 hour)
Afternoon Session (2 Hours) Period 4: Pre-Test - Reading (50 min) ➢ Completing one passage of a reading practice test (20 minutes). ➢ Answers Review as a group and discuss strategies for handling challenging questions. Period 5: Reading Practice Activity (50 min) ➢ Completing a full reading passage with various question types. ➢ Group review and discussion of answers, with an emphasis on reading comprehension techniques. Day 2: Saturday, November 23 (5 Hours) - Focus on Listening Morning Session (3 Hours) Period 1: Listening Skill Review (50 min) ➢ Introduce common question types in IELTS Listening (multiple choice, form completion, map/plan labeling). ➢ Discuss active listening strategies and common traps. Period 2: Listening Practice Test (50 min) ➢ Complete one section of a listening test with 10-12 questions. ➢ Group review of answers and discussion of common mistakes. Period 3: Practice Activity for Common Question Types (50 min) ➢ Practicing multiple question types, such as gap fills, sentence completion, and multiple choice. ➢ Completing 20 mixed questions with immediate feedback.

Afternoon Session (2 Hours)
Period 4: Focused Listening Practice - Section 3 Discussion (50 min) ➢ A listening exercise on a discussion between two speakers (Section 3 format). ➢ Group feedback and review on interpreting context clues and understanding difficult accents. Period 5: Listening Strategy Recap and Group Discussion (50 min) ➢ Summarize listening strategies, tips for improving listening comprehension, and how to handle challenging audio. ➢ Q&A and student feedback on the listening section. Day 3: Saturday, November 30 (5 Hours) - Practice Tests and Post-Test Morning Session (3 Hours) Period 1: Practice Test - Listening (50 min) ➢ A full practice listening test Period 2: Practice Test - Reading (50 min) ➢ One full reading passage with related questions. Period 3: Writing Task 2 - Full Essay (50 min) ➢ A Full Writing Task 2 essay (250 words) under timed conditions.

Period 4: Speaking Practice - Mock Test (50 min) ➢ Individual speaking tests in a mock exam setting (Parts 1, 2, and 3). Period 5: Post-Test and Final Review (50 min) ➢ Post-test listening section to assess progress. ➢ Summarize key takeaways and individual feedback on improvements and areas for further practice.
