Computer hardware is the physical components of a
computer system. It includes all of the parts that you
can see and touch, such as the monitor, keyboard,
mouse, and CPU. Hardware is important because it is
what allows the computer to perform its tasks. The
different components of a computer system work
together to process data, execute instructions, and
display information.

The system unit is the main part of a computer system. It contains
the CPU, RAM, ROM, storage devices, power supply, and other
important components. The system unit is responsible for
processing data and executing instructions.
The motherboard is the main circuit
board of a computer system. It connects
all of the other components in the
system unit
The CPU, also known as the processor, is the brain of the computer
system. It is responsible for processing data and executing
instructions.
RAM, or random access memory, is used to store data that is
currently being used by the CPU. RAM is volatile, which means that the
data is lost when the computer is turned off.
ROM, or read-only memory, is used to store permanent data, such as
the BIOS. ROM is non-volatile, which means that the data is not lost
when the computer is turned off.
Hard disk drive (HDD): A HDD is a mechanical storage device that
uses magnetic platters to store data.
Solid-state drive (SSD): An SSD is a non-mechanical storage
device that uses flash memory to store data.
Optical drive: An optical drive is used to read and write data to
optical discs, such as CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs.
The power supply provides power to all of the components in the
system unit.
Secondary storage devices are used to store data that is not currently being used by
the computer. Some common examples of secondary storage devices include:
External hard drive: An external hard drive is a portable storage device that can be connected
to a computer using a USB cable.
Flash drive: A flash drive is a small, portable storage device that can be used to store data and files.
Cloud storage: Cloud storage is a service that allows users to store data and files on remote servers.
