INTRDUCTION
• The high demand for automobiles has also increased the traffic hazards and the road accidents.
Life of the people is under high risk. This is because of the lack of best emergency facilities
available in our country. An automatic alert device for vehicle accidents is introduced. This system
will automatically detect the accident within a limited time and the message which includes the
basic information like vehicle id and location details including latitude and longitude. This alert
message will transmit near to rescue team immediately. There will be a switch provided to
terminate the transmission of the alert message so that the previous time of the rescue team can
be saved. When the accident occurs the alert message sent automatically to the rescue team and
to the control station where the information about the occurrence of the accident is uploaded to
the server and stored. The message is sent through the ZIGBEE module, and the location of the
accident is detected with the help of the GPS module.
OBJECTIVE

• 1. Accident Detection
• 2. Location tracking of the vehicle
• 3. Sending the alert messages to the family members.
• 4. Sendig the alart messages to nearest police station and ambulence
METHDOLOGY
• To preserve the life of the driver in all the conditions of the accident, we have proposed this vehicle alert
system project using Arduino. In our model, we have used Arduino UNO R3 to integrate with a GPS
GY6MV2 receiver and GSM module SIM 800L.
• MEMS Accelerometer will be capturing the X and Y axis co-ordinates of the vehicle and GSM SIM 800L
sends a notification message to the registered contact number of the family members. The latitude and
longitude of the vehicle is captured continuously by GPS module.
• In case if the accident is minor and don’t require family member get notified and ask for emergency, we are
going to use a reset button which is used in stopping of sending the notification to the family and nearby
hospital and police station
• Thus, the person’s life is saved in many dangerous situations and thus we can reduce the number of deaths
due to the accidents.
Fig 1. Blog Diagram of the accident alert
system
• In Fig 1 shows the accident alert system of GPS module, GSM modem, MEMS Accelerometer to the Arduino
miniature regulator. GPS module will identify the mishap spot as scope and longitude of the spot endlessly.
MEMS Accelerometer will catch the X and Y co-ordinates of the vehicle and if the co-ordinates go past the
limit esteems, a sign is shipped
• off the miniature regulator and it enacts the SIM 800L GSM module and sends a notice message to the
relatives.
HARDWARE
• When accident occurs, then this device will send the message to a registered number in coding. The Phone
gets a message in a link form with the latitude and longitude value of the position of the vehicle.
• User Message for the position:
• Sending String" Location":
• Receiving String=" To know vehicle location click here-
• https://maps.google.com/maps?q=25.32,80.53";
• The location of the vehicle in latitude and longitude will be displayed on the LCD connected to the system for
the proper monitoring and identify the proper running condition of the microcontroller. Here GSM is system
which works on the digital based cellular technology which is used for the connecting mobile message and
data. It operates on high frequency for receiving and transmitting on 850MHZ. 900MHZ, 1800MHZ, and
1900MHZ frequency band. GSM relates to the GPS module to send the updated report every time. The
location is in URL. form which will get on user mobile can redirect to google map on single touch
CONCLUSION
• An architecture and design methodology is pro-posed for automatic accident detection and rescue system.
Vehicle mounted sensor data provides information about an accident. Once confirmed using the
acknowledgment switch provided, the alert message containing the vehicle id and location coordinates can be
passed on to all nearby vehicles and thus after multiple hops reaching nearest ambulance service and control
room. Using an accept switch, the driver of emergency vehicle informs his status regarding accepting the
case. At the control room, this data is uploaded to cloud server Thing speak to plot graphs of accident-prone
areas for taking enhanced safety measures there. and react to accident situations in real time, ZigBee is used.
This way, our architecture of the system works in an interconnected fashion for providing the accident victim,
the medical aid as a fast as possible without human chances of accident to happen there in future.
