ASSIGNMENT 4- READING
RESEARCH METHOD CLASS |DR. AZZA Z. KARRAR | WEEK 2|
ASSIGNMENT DUE: 20-6-2024
In this reading assignment, you are requested to conduct a systematic literature search using
the search log table and the detailed LR table as described in the (Process of Conducting SLR
video click here to watch)(Sample copies are uploaded in Moodle/Week 2/Related Materials
folder). Complete the following Tasks:

NO TASK
1. Choose a topic that is related to your graduation project to search about
2. Write down your Literature review purposes and objectives. Also set a scope
(Duration) to your SLR (e.g: from year ??- 2024).
3. Using Google Scholar, search for your references within the scope you set
and add your selected papers to your Library in Google scholar (tip: try to
improve your keywords selection to minimize your search time)
4. As you search make sure that you are recording your search details in the
search log table (no, date/time, keyword, the reference type, no. of
citations, search results no, no. of the included references and the
researcher name (if a group)).
5. Based on the purposes you set in task 2, modify the columns of the detailed
LR table (No, Citation, Title, Type, Cited by no., Aim, Method , Findings,
Future Work, Your Comment) by adding any additional required concepts
or details that you need to review (such as needs, challenges, requirements,
factors, etc… )
6. Make sure to include your selected related references in both the modified
detailed LR table and the Google scholar library (this library will be used in
later assignment).
7. Make sure to fill in “Your Comment” column in task 6 by at least the reason
why you include the paper in your selected set.
8. You are required to fill the second table (detailed LR) with at least 15
references (for single student) or (40 references for group students maximum
3 students that work on the same project).

Tip for assignment submission: the final submission will be accepted as .pdf file. The file
should contain the results of each tasks 1-7 (Your Selected topic, Scope, Purpose/Objectives)
+ filled search log table + filled detailed LR table. Attach the resulted pdf file when you submit
your assignment
