2. If the regression coefficient of X on Y = 0.847 and Y on X = 0.732, find coefficient


of correlation.

For a bivariate distribution, the coefficient of regression of Y on X is 4.2 and


coefficient of regression of X on Y is 0.5.

4. A student calculated the coefficient of regression of X on Y and Y on X as +0.9 and


-0.3. Do you think the calculations are correct ?

5. If the correlation coefficient (r) = 0.86 and regression coefficient of X on Y = 1.2, find
the regression coefficient of Y on X.
