A factory produces Calculators where the total cost in ten thousands of L.L, is given by
C x f x x 2x 3 , where, x is the number of produced units such that x is expressed in tens.
(x 1).
1) Calculate the fixed costs.
2) Calculate the cost of production of 30 calculators.
3) Prove that the average cost function is given by C x x 2 .
4) The following table is the table of variation of the function C.

Determine the number of produced calculators so that the average cost is minimum. Calculate this minimum.
5) The selling price of each calculator is 30 000 L.L and all the produced quantity was sold.
a) Prove that the revenue function R is given by R(x) = 30x.
b) Prove that the profit function P is given by P(x)  -x 2  32x - 3 .
c) Determine the number of sold calculators so that the profit is null. Give an economical interpretation of
the obtained value.
d) Determine the number of sold calculators so that the profit is maximum calculate this maximum.
