TASK 2
The algorithm used in this system is Web Scraping. This algorithm is used to collect data
through the internet. Web scraping is a technique for automatically extracting web data
rather than duplicating it by hand. It is a method for extracting useful information from
website's HTML and putting it in a centralized, local database or spreadsheet. It
accomplishes this using the website's URL. It accomplishes this using the website's URL.
Web scrapers carry it out with the aid of programmes that have been specially
programmed. It can be either traditionally put together for a certain website or quickly
arranged to function with any website (Singrodia et al., 2019). To obtain data from
websites, web scraping can be done in a variety of ways. These include using online
services, specific APIs, or even writing your own web scraping code from scratch.
Many large websites, such as Google, Twitter, Facebook, StackOverflow, and others,
have APIs that allow you to access structured data. This is the best option, but other sites
do not allow users to access large amounts of data in a structured format, or they are
simply not technologically advanced. In that case, it's best to use Web Scraping to collect
data from the website. The scraper and the crawler are the two components needed for
web scraping. The crawler is an artificial intelligence system that searches the internet for
the specific data needed by clicking on links.
On the other hand, the scraper is a unique tool designed to extract data from the website.
The scraper's architecture can vary significantly depending on the difficulty and size of the
project to extract the data efficiently and precisely. Web scrapers can extract all the data
on a specific site or the data that a user desires. Ideally, you should specify the data you
want so that the web scraper extracts only that data quickly. For example, you may want
to scrape an Amazon page for the different types of juicers available, but you may only
want information about the models of different juicers and not customer reviews.
When a web scraper needs to scrape a site, the URLs are provided first. The scraper then
loads all the HTML code for those sites, and a more advanced scraper may even extract
all the CSS and Javascript elements.
