2313926 - DMS subscreen in PM notification not displayed fully – scroll needed


Component: PM-WOC-MN (Maintenance Notifications), Version: 6, Released On: 24.09.2021

Symptom
In transaction IW21/IW22/IW23, the DMS subscreen has a scroll bar
In PM notifications, the DMS subscreen is not displayed fully
Linked Documents subscreen is scrollable in notification

Environment
SAP ERP Plant Maintenance (PM)
SAP ERP Quality Management (QM)
SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0
SAP enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0
SAP enhancement package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0
SAP enhancement package 8 for SAP ERP 6.0
SAP enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0, version for SAP HANA
SAP S/4HANA, on-premise

Reproducing the Issue


1. Transaction IW21
2. Enter relevant notification type associated with screen area 092 'DMS links' and press Enter
3. Select tab containing subscreen 092
4. Note that subscreen number 0207 ‘Linked Documents’ is not fully displayed. Scroll bar must be used

Cause
This behaviour occurs after the implementation of SAP Note 2738345
Previously it was possible to revert this change using SAP Note 2296392
However, this Note is only available up to specific Support package level for the release.

Resolution
SAP Notes 2896231 and 2904287 have been released to improve this behaviour.
1. Implement SAP Note 2904287
2. Carry out all manual changes within SAP Note 2896231.
3. Finally implement the code corrections from this Note.
(Both notes contain a number of pre-requisite notes which you will have to check have been implemented for your
release)
Alternatively you can upgrade to the related Support Package for your release which will include all required Notes and
manually activities.
You can then assign the new 'DMS links - large Screen' (Screen 192) to your Notification Type.
This has to be assigned either to a separate subscreen container or at the end of a subscreen container so that it will
display correctly.
Once done, the DMS screen area will display as expected

Overview of Notification Type
Select the notification type
Select 'Screen Structure for Extended View'
Select the relevant TAB
Set sub-screen as 192 and the DMS Tab will then display as expected.
