2.Scope
The scope of cable drums shifting and cable laying encompasses the entire process of
managing and deploying cables using cable drums, from the initial preparation to the
final installation. The key aspects included within the scope are:

- Identification of the cable route and layout
- Clearing and leveling the cable deployment area
- Ensuring accessibility and safe working conditions

6.Responsibilities
6.1 Project Manager
Responsible for accomplishing the stated project objectives, which include creating
clear and attainable project objectives, building the project requirements, and
managing the constraints of the project management triangle: cost, time, scope,
and quality.
Supervise closely the activities designated to him and ensure that all instructions and
safety procedures are followed and strictly adhered to, also responsible for TBT before
starting the work.

6.4 PTW Coordinator
Coordinate all relevant permits and ensure they are current and up to date for the
duration of the activities. The PTW Coordinator shall check the proposed ac�vi�es are
being done as per the specified �me period.
Ensure enforcement of safety procedures in accordance with the approved HSE Plan. Will be
closely monitoring the site engineer’s strict implementation of the MS and Risk Assessment,
the use of proper tools and equipment to maintain safety, certifications of equipment and
their adherence to safety regulations, reporting of any unsafe work or stopping work that
does not comply with ES&H procedures and monitor the implementation of the PTW system,
also responsible about ES&H TBT before starting the work.
The only authorized person to operate any equipment to be used in the project.

6.9 Banksman/Flagman
1. *Site Preparation*:
- Review the project plans and identify the cable routes and layout.
- Clear and level the designated cable deployment area, ensuring accessibility and
safe working conditions.
- Carefully load the cable drums onto the transportation vehicles, using appropriate
equipment such as forklifts or cable drum trailers.
- Transport the cable drums to the designated deployment site, ensuring the drums
are secured during transit.
- Unload the cable drums at the deployment site, positioning them in the
predetermined locations using handling equipment.
- Stabilize and secure the cable drums in their designated positions to prevent
uncontrolled movement.
- Attach cable rollers or stands along the cable route to guide and support the cable
during the laying process.

- Carefully unwind the cable from the drum, maintaining appropriate tension and
avoiding kinks or tangles.
- Guide the cable along the predetermined route, using cable ropes or slings to pull
and control the cable's movement.
- Ensure the cable is laid in a neat, organized, and safe manner, avoiding sharp turns
or excessive bends.
- Maintain accurate records of the cable installation process, including the cable
lengths, routing, and any noteworthy observations.
- Inspect the installed cables to ensure compliance with project specifications and
industry standards.
- Address any identified issues or defects promptly and document the corrective
actions taken.
- Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure the proper disposal or recycling of cable drums, packaging materials, and
