Date of trip: 6th October- 10th October 2024.
Name of place: GOA

The Electronics and Communications Engineering Department of Sahrdaya College of Engineering and
Technology organized a tour to Goa from October 6th to October 11th, 2024. The tour was arranged
by Vagabond Tour Planners and involved sixty students, two faculty members, and two parents,
making it an exciting and enriching trip for us. This tour aimed to offer students a blend of educational
and cultural experiences while also providing a refreshing break from our academic routines. The
travel logistics were well-coordinated, with students departing from Thrissur Railway Station on 6th
October at 2:12 PM via KCVL PBR SF Express, beginning the journey to Goa with an overnight train ride.

On the morning of 7th October, the group arrived at Madgaon Railway Station in Goa at 2:30 AM and
was welcomed by the Vagabond Tour team. After freshening up, they embarked on their first day of
sightseeing in North Goa. The itinerary for the day included a visit to Agauda Fort and its historic
lighthouse, followed by Sinquerium Beach, where the students had the opportunity to explore the
coastal beauty of Goa. The day ended with an evening at the lively Baga Beach and Tittos Lane,
allowing the group to experience Goa’s vibrant nightlife. The students checked into their resort in
North Goa by late evening for an overnight stay.

Day 2, which was dedicated to exploring more of North Goa, started with breakfast at the resort. The
students visited the popular Calangute Beach, we experienced the lively atmosphere and participated
in some local shopping at the flea market. The day also included visits to Anjuna Beach, Chapora Fort,
and Vagator Cliff. In the evening, a private DJ party was arranged exclusively for the group, offering us
a chance to unwind and enjoy some fun moments together. Accommodation was provided at the
luxurious Coco Heritage Resort, and the students stayed in air-conditioned rooms on a four-sharing
basis.

Day 3, 9th October, was designed for relaxation, with the group spending time by the resort’s pool and
enjoying the laid-back ambiance of their surroundings. Later in the afternoon, we traveled to Arambol
Beach, known for its serene beauty and the vibrant Russian market. The sunset at Arambol provided a
picturesque end to the day, as the group returned to the resort in North Goa for their overnight stay.

On the fourth and final day, the group traveled to South Goa for more sightseeing. We visited the
famous Bom Jesus Basilica, Se Cathedral, and St. Augustine Tower. The tour also included a stop in
Panjim City for shopping and a sunset visit to Colva Beach. After this full day of exploration, the group
headed to Madgaon Railway Station, we boarded the Netravati Express at 11:40 PM, marking the end
of their Goa adventure.

Overall, the study tour was a resounding success, offering students an opportunity to explore Goa's
cultural landmarks while bonding with their peers and faculty. The tour was not only a break from their
academic routine but also a chance to gain new experiences, build friendships, and return with lasting
memories.
