Flowchart On How To Create A Bootable Flash Drive
1. Start (Oval)
o The process begins here.
2. Insert Flash Drive (Rectangle)
o Insert your flash drive into the computer.
3. Download Bootable Software (Rectangle)
o Download software such as Rufus, Etcher, or the official media creation tool.
4. Open Bootable Software (Rectangle)
o Open the bootable creation software on your computer.
5. Select Flash Drive (Rectangle)
o Choose the inserted flash drive as the target device.
6. Select Bootable Image File (ISO) (Rectangle)
o Choose the operating system ISO file (e.g., Windows, Linux) to make the flash
drive bootable.
7. Configure Boot Options (Diamond)
o Set up the correct settings (e.g., partition scheme, file system). Is the
configuration correct?
o Yes (Arrow to next step)
o No (Arrow back to "Configure Boot Options")
8. Start Bootable Flash Drive Creation (Rectangle)
o Click on the "Start" or "Create" button.
9. Wait for Process to Complete (Rectangle)
o Wait for the creation process to finish.
10. Creation Successful? (Diamond)
Using Ventoy:
1. Download Ventoy: Go to the Ventoy official website and download the latest release.
2. Insert USB Flash Drive: Plug your USB flash drive into your computer.
3. Open Ventoy:
o Extract the downloaded Ventoy zip file.
o Run the Ventoy2Disk.exe application.
4. Select USB Drive: In the Ventoy interface, select your USB flash drive.
5. Install Ventoy:
o Click the Install button.
o Confirm any prompts (this will format the USB drive).
6. Copy ISO Files:
o Once installation is done, simply copy the ISO files (Windows, Linux, etc.) you
want to boot from directly onto the USB flash drive.
7. Boot from USB: Your USB is now ready. On boot, Ventoy will allow you to select
which ISO to load from a list of all ISOs you copied onto the drive.
1. Wear shoes with non-conductive rubber soles to help reduce the chance of being shocked.
3. Do not remove expansion cards or other components a computer when it is turned on.
4. Remove all jewelry when working inside any computer related equipment.
