Types of Prepositions
1. Prepositions of Place (Where?)
• Examples: in, on, under, behind, between
• Sentences:
o The ball is under the table.
o She is sitting between two friends.
Simple Rules
1. A preposition is always followed by a noun or pronoun.
o Correct: I am good at math.
o Incorrect: I am good at.
2. Some prepositions are tricky and need to be learned with the word they
go with.
o Example: Good at, not good in.
o Example: Married to, not married with.
