A DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN MUSIC (GRADE 6)

I. OBJECTIVES
LESSON’S OUTCOMES:
At the end of the lesson, the Grade 6 pupils should have:
1. Defined how harmony and explain its significance in music;
1. Demonstrated how harmony is created using voices or instruments; and
2. Appreciated the role of harmony in enhancing a musical piece.

A. PREPARATION
1. PRAYER
“Okay, I need someone to lead the prayer. Who wants to
lead the prayer?” (one pupil raise hand)

“Please, come here in front” “Classmate, are you ready to pray?

Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen…….”
2. GREETINGS “Good morning, children! How’s your day?” We’re fine, ma’am!

can make a happy melody sad, and a sad melody

instrument. I have here a lyre and I will play a melody on my

“Now, since you all know harmony. The harmony can
definitely change how a song feels right? It adds depth and
richness, like how the harmony in a song makes it sound
fuller. Now, can you think of different types of music where
harmony plays an important role?”

C. APPLICATION "Exactly! Whether it’s rock, pop, or classical, harmony helps
