Guidelines For Summer Internship Report
The students are required to undergo training in company organisation of repute. The
student must obtain prior approval of the director of the college/ institution. Every student
will be allocated a Mentor/ guide and the students will submit Synopsis and Project Report
to his mentor/ guide. This will form the basis of internal assessment. Student will be
required to submit training report, not exceeding 100 pages, which shall be evaluated in the
Fifth SEMESTER. Training report must be submitted 15 days before the date of external
exams. The Viva-voce and PPT presentation will be taken to check what the student has
learnt during training. This will be the basis for external assessment. The University with the
recommendation of the Director, FOM, VGU Jaipur, will appoint the examiner for the
evaluation of Summer Internship report and Viva-Voce.
During the Summer Internship, the student is expected to learn about the
organization and analyze and suggest solutions to a live problem. The objective is to
equip the students with the knowledge of actual functioning of an organization and
problems faced by them for exploring feasible solutions.
During the course of training, the organization (where the student is undergoing
training) may assign a problem/project to the student.
The supervisor/guide may communicate with the immediate reporting officer of the
trainee student which will be the compulsory part of the internal evaluation.
Report Should be Computerized (Microsoft Word) [Three Copies Hard Bound in
black colour) along with following mandatory pattern :
i) Proper Project Synopsis Performa duly signed by the student and the guide with dates.
ii) The Synopsis of the proposed Project should essentially have the following:
a) Introduction, brief background, and Rationale of the title chosen for the project.
b) Brief Introduction and vital details of the organisation/s under study.
c) Statement of the problem.
d) Objectives of the Project (clearly stated in behavioural terms).
e) Research Methodology:
Research Design
Nature and source of data/information to be collected.
Sample and sampling technique. Rationale of chosen organisation and the sample.
Tools and Techniques to be used for data collection – details of the
tools/questionnaire to be used and its relevance with the objectives of the project.
Methods to be used for data collection.
Data handling and analysis- organisation and analysis of data. Statistical tools to be
used for analysis. Relevance of statistical tools with the objectives of the project.
f) Limitation of the proposed project, if any.
g) Any other relevant detail which will help better appreciation and understanding of the
project proposal.
