Types of BOMs in SAP:

1. **Material BOM (M-BOM)**:


- **Usage**: Defines the components needed to
produce a specific material. It's used in production
planning and material requirement planning (MRP).
- **Application**: Manufacturing industries to create
final products from raw materials.

2. **Equipment BOM (E-BOM)**:


- **Usage**: Lists the spare parts and components
for equipment. It's used in plant maintenance.
- **Application**: Maintenance activities, ensuring all
necessary parts are available for equipment repair or
servicing.

3. **Sales Order BOM (S-BOM)**:


- **Usage**: Created for a specific sales order, it
reflects the customer's specific requirements.
- **Application**: Customizable products where each
sales order may have different configurations.

4. **Document Structure BOM (D-BOM)**:


- **Usage**: Links documents to a material or
product, helping manage documentation related to
the product lifecycle.
