Chapter 1 – INTRODUCTION TO PROJECT

1.1 ABSTRACT
The main objective of the online ticket booking system is to manage the details of
Movie, Ticket, Customer, show Timing. The main aim of the system is to provide complete
information of the movie and schedule to the customer, according to which he/she can
book the tickets.

1.2 RATIONALE
In today's software environment writing bug-free code is challenging task, which
make software testing important tool to get the quality software. Testing techniques
include the process of executing a program or application with the intent of finding
software bugs and verifying that the software product is fit for use. Students will learn the
way to find bugs by applying types, levels and methods of software testing on applications
with effective test planning approach. It also covers manual testing.

1.3 COURSE OUTCOMES ADDRESSED

i. Apply various software testing methods.
ii. Prepare test cases for different types and levels of testing.
iii. Prepare test plan for an application.
iv. Identifies bugs to create defect report of given application.
v. Test software for performance measures using automated testing tools.

Chapter 2 – LITERATURE REVIEW

The process of preparing test cases for software systems is a critical step in ensuring
the quality and functionality of the system. In the context of movie ticket booking systems,
test case preparation ensures that the system performs as expected under various
conditions, addressing user requirements such as seat selection, payment, and ticket
confirmation. This literature review explores the methodologies, challenges, and
importance of test case preparation for movie ticket booking systems, drawing from
relevant studies in software testing.

Chapter 3 – PROJECT DETAILS

3.1 ACTUAL METHODOLOGY FOLLOWED

Admins

● They control the platform. They make sure everything is updated and
running smoothly.
● Details such as which theatre is showing which movie is updated by them.
They can also delete or add movies to each theatre. They also have access
to the number of users who are registered on. the portal.
Users

● They give their details to be registered on the platform. This gives them
unique IDs and passwords which allows them to access the system.
● A user can check the portal to see which movies are being featured. They
can also watch trailers.
● They can book seats. Most theatres offer three classes of seats which vary
in position and price.
● Other details concerning the movies are also available to them such as
reviews and ratings.

5.1 ADVANTAGES
1. Customer Satisfaction – The main priority of any business is to provide
customers with the very best services and to meet all their needs.
2. Reduce Costs – A major benefit of the digital era is the way it can
drastically cut costs. The business will have a system that is mostly
automated which means that fewer people are needed to operate and run
it. This means that the company can save on the cost of hiring multiple
employees
3. User Friendly – Most software that developers use is not complicated to
use. They make the user experience enjoyable and even the admins have
an easy time updating the system.
