LEVEL 1

1- Explain procedure for performing API Sedimentation Test

1.Employee to explain to rater the proper procedure for performing an API
Sedimentation Test. Inc: (safety considerations, maximum testing conditions,
appropriate conditioning period, filling sedimentation tube, loading
sedimentation apparatus into autoclave, specific gravity determination of
cement pieces, and significance of test)

LEVEL 2

1. Set up and perform an API Sedimentation Test

1. Employee to explain to rater the proper procedure for performing an
API sedimentation Test. Inc: (safety considerations, appropriate
conditioning period, filling sedimentation tube, loading sedimentation
apparatus into autoclave, specific gravity determination of cement
pieces and post-test procedures.)

LEVEL 3

1- Review, document, and interpret results after an API sedimentation Test is completed.
List of items Assessed on Rater ID
1. Employee to demonstrate to rater how to properly document API
Sedimentation Test data electronically. Ex: (Lab database system) and
in hard copy from. Ex: (project sheet.)

LEVEL 4

1- Make proper adjustment to slurry design in order to pass API Sedimentation Test.

1. Employee to provided to rater 3 examples of cement slurries that were
modified to meet sedimentation requirements. Employee to explain to
rater why each modification was made.

1. Coaches/Mentors employees through proficiency levels 1-4 on API sedimentation Test.
