4) (10pts.) Draw a formal Sloped Section for the part in Fig.2, (a vessel with two flanges at each end /
flanşlı boru). Include ALL the necessary information for a section, sketch on views if necessary !

5) (20 pts.-10p. each) Assemble the parts below, and take a proper lateral section, passing through the
5/16 dia holes. Draw the top view. Sketch them free hand. Do not use dimensions, just keep the
ratios close to real. Meanwhile, beware of the mechanical components used. (Your drawing must
be CLEAN and COMPLETELY FORMAL)

6) (15 pts.) Join any two parts using the fastening components you see below. Take a proper lateral
section of your assembly. Make sure all the necessary details of such an assembly is there and are
all legible. Name and give specifications for the components. (Lengths are not important. Use your
free hand, no rulers ! )

7) (10 pts.) What are the main differences between basic key types; axial tapered, axial non-tapered,
radial, woodroof?

8) (10 pts. each) Find at your environment (home/garage etc.), any two of the fastening elements we
have learned (other then the one in question #6), name them, add their detail picture on your exam
paper and draw their lateral sections as it appears at you.
