COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Computer System Servicing 2 is an advanced course designed to equip students with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge needed to maintain, repair, and optimize computer systems.
Building on foundational concepts, this course delves into more complex troubleshooting techniques, network configuration, hardware upgrades, and software management. Students will engage in hands-
on activities that mimic real-world scenarios, preparing them for careers in IT support, systems administration, and other technical fields. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, problem-solving, and
adapting to the evolving landscape of computer technology.

Course Intended Learning Outcomes:


At the end of the course, students should be able to:
 Diagnose and Troubleshoot Advanced Hardware Issues: Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware problems using advanced tools and techniques.
 Perform Network Setup and Configuration: Configure and manage basic network systems, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, ensuring connectivity and security.
 Upgrade and Maintain Computer Systems: Implement hardware and software upgrades to improve system performance while maintaining system integrity.
 Apply Advanced Software Management Techniques: Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and applications, with a focus on optimizing system performance and security.
 Understand and Implement Data Protection Strategies: Develop and apply backup and data recovery strategies to protect against data loss and ensure system continuity.
 Demonstrate Professionalism in IT Support: Communicate effectively with clients, provide clear documentation, and adhere to industry standards and ethical practices.
 Prepare for Industry Certification: Gain the knowledge and skills needed to pursue relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+.
