Letter of Intent for PhD in Internal Relations and European Studies or Political Sciences

Dear Sir/Madam/Screening Committee

In the first instance, allow me to express my deepest gratitude to the Government of Romania for
allowing me to take part to apply for this prestigious scholarship. I am Bashir Idao Machesa, from
Ethiopia-East Africa. I have Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in History in 2004 from Debub University
Dilla College of Teacher Education and Health Sciences, Bachelor of Art (BA) in Management from
2020 Open University College in 2019, Master of Arts (MA) in Federalism and Local Government
Studies in 2016 from Ethiopian Civil Service University and Master of Arts (MA) in Educational
Leadership and Management from Arsi University in 2020/2021.

Herewith, I would like to request your kind permission as to request a review and further assessment
for myself to be considered as a student for PhD in the two selected universities of Babes Bolyai and
National University of Political Science and Public Adminstration. Kindly allow me to briefly
elaborate the reasoning of my request. Since I want to deepen my previous education in the two chosen
areas of study in Ethiopia, the perfect choice for my graduate study is at Romanian universities
presented as two options. I’m interested in studying the major problems in my country that need due
attention.

The reasons behind my application are due to the fact that I am among the hard working candidate for
I have a versatile academic potential to study PhD and I hope I will be among the competent candidate
in which your university is looking for. Slowly but surely, this opportunity is going to be my choice
that can nourish me and my country with the necessary provisions and supplies of academic
knowledge. From this golden opportunity, I expect better knowledge and experience from such
prestigious institution by getting higher and standardized level of education that can serve me and my
country as well as the world community at large in solving problems of international relations,
political disputes and public adminstrations.

From my versatile educational backgrounds and from my long years of serving as teacher, instructor,
academic leadership experience, researcher, writer and chief editor, I have a dynamic interest towards
multi-disciplinary areas of study. Thus, it is my great pleasure to apply for such historically reputable
university and serve as a professional, teacher, instructor, researcher, trainer and advisor of today and
tomorrow for the world community.
My major goals are to become academically qualified researcher, lecturer, writer, chief editor and
trainer. That was why in my few years, I served as a social, education, culture, history and language
voluntary researcher, editor and writer of two English books and editing many books including the
book written by the current prime minister of Ethiopia, Dr. Abiy Ahmed.

For the last 20 years, I became thirsty of education in my country due to different political and
governance problems and this is my greatest opportunity and enthusiasm to update myself by getting
an international knowledge, skill and attitude that I can serve my country and the world community at
large in solving such deep-rooted long lasted problems of Ethiopia, Africa and the world at large.

At any cost of condition in my academic journey, I have strong commitment to achieve my goals
under any circumstances via patience, cooperation and learning from one another. I will be patiently
waiting for a positive reply. Please accept my deepest appreciation and gratitude to your further
assessment and consideration.
