I am deeply honored and humbled to stand before you today as the newly appointed President of

Our vision, "To be the Physician of Choice of Filipino Families," reflects our aspiration to
provide exemplary care that meets the needs of our communities. This vision will guide us as we
strive to enhance the quality of life for those we serve through compassionate and comprehensive
healthcare. We envision a future where every Filipino family has access to high-quality, holistic
care, and it is our responsibility to turn this vision into reality.
At this moment, while we may not have an extensive plan laid out, I am excited to announce
that, God willing, we will promote continuing education. This initiative aims to equip our
members with the latest knowledge and skills, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of
medical practice. Continuing education is vital in our field, and we must stay updated with the
latest advancements and best practices to provide the best possible care to our patients.

One of my primary goals is to keep the vigor and even rejuvenate more our Surigao del Norte
chapter, fostering a sense of camaraderie and active participation among our members.
Rekindling the spirit of unity and collaboration is the hallmark of our society. I believe that by
engaging our members more actively, we can harness their collective expertise and passion to
drive meaningful change and improvements in our community.

To our colleagues in the profession, I want to express my deepest gratitude. Your dedication and
hard work as members are the backbone of our society. Each one of you, through your daily
efforts and unwavering commitment, plays a crucial role in advancing our mission. I encourage
you to continue sharing your knowledge, skills, and experiences with your colleagues. Your

The role of family medicine in our healthcare system is more important than ever. Family
physicians are often the first point of contact for patients, providing comprehensive and
continuous care for individuals and families across all ages, genders, diseases, and parts of the
body. We are uniquely positioned to address the full spectrum of health concerns, from
preventive care and chronic disease management to acute care and mental health support.

Family medicine emphasizes the importance of the doctor-patient relationship and focuses on
integrated care. We strive to understand our patients' lives in their broader social context, which
allows us to offer personalized care that respects their values and needs. This holistic approach is
critical in achieving better health outcomes and enhancing the overall well-being of our
communities.
In our journey ahead, we will focus on several key areas:
