«DOGGIE»
REQUIRED MATERIALS:
✓ Crochet markers (5 pcs.). If you do not have them, you can use any contrast
threads (not plush or fluffy).
✓ Thin strong thread for sewing and tightening pieces (preferably in tone of
the toy).
✓ White and black cotton thread (such as Yarn Art Jeans) or acrylic for whites
of the eyes and muzzle tightening, approximately 25 cm of each color.
✓ Large needle with a wide eye. Doggie height excluding ears: 28-30 cm
ABBREVIATIONS:
BODY
Begin crocheting from the back of the body with the main color of the Doggie:
R1. 6sc in MR
R2. 6inc (12)
R3. 12inc (24)
R4. (3sc, 1inc)*6 (30)
R5. (4sc, 1inc)*6 (36)
HIND LEGS:
R1. 6sc in MR
R2. 6inc (12)
R3. (3sc, 1inc)*3 (15)
R4. 15sc
R5. 8sc, then

the hook 6sc, 3rd turn, start in the 2nd st from the hook 5sc,
4th turn, start in the 2nd st from the hook 4sc + 15sc
Leave the yarn tail about 25 cm or sew
the hind legs with thin thread in tone of
the toy. Stuff with holofiber very
slightly!!
TAIL
R1. 6sc in MR
R2. 6sc
R3. (1sc, 1inc)*3 (9) R4-6. 9sc (3 rounds) R7. (2sc, 1inc)*3 (12) R8-12. 12sc (5
rounds)
If you want the longer tail, then crochet so many rounds as you need. Do not stuff
the tail tightly, it should be soft.
Sew the tail: put the Doggie on a table or a flat surface, put the tail in the center
of the “butt” and sew it in any convenient way for you.
HEAD
Begin crocheting with dark color:
R1. 6sc in MR
R2. 6inc (12)
R3. 12inc (24)
R4-6. 24sc (3 rounds)
Change color to the main (light) at the end of round 6.
R7. 9sc with light color, 6inc with dark color, 9sc with light color (30) Cut the
dark colored yarn and continue crocheting with light one.
When changing the color of the yarn, you need to cut them each time and tie the
threads into double knots.
R8. 12sc, 6inc, 12sc (36)
R9-11. 36sc (3 rounds)
R12. (5sc, 1inc)*6 (42)
R13-16. 42sc (4 rounds)
R17. (5sc, 1dec)*6 (36)
R18-19. 36sc (2 rounds)
Before continuing (and finishing) crocheting the head, you need to insert eyes and
a nose.
First stuff the head with fiberfill to see the shape. Do not stuff the head tightly, it
should be elastic. It should not be very tight, then it will be difficult to make the
necessary tightening.
Then insert the eyes, press on them – so we look at how they will look with a
tightening. Insert the nose and insert a thread for tightening the muzzle into the
same hole.
Continue crocheting the head:
R20. (4sc, 1dec)*6 (30)
R21. (3sc, 1dec)*6 (24)
R22. (2sc, 1dec)*6 (18)
R23. (1sc, 1dec)*6 (12) Decreases until the end.
EARS
Leave the yarn tail about 10 cm long before starting MR. R1. 6sc in MR
R2. 6inc (12)
R3. 3sc, 1inc, 2sc, 3sc in 1st, 2sc, 1inc, 2sc (16)
R4. 4sc, 1inc, 2sc, 1inc, 3sc in 1st, 1inc, 2sc, 1inc, 3sc (22)
R5. 5sc, 1inc, 4sc, 1inc, 3sc in 1st, 1inc, 4sc, 1inc, 4sc (28)
If the size of the ears suits you, then crochet one sl st and fasten off. If you want
bigger ears, then crochet round 6.
R6. 4sc, 1inc, 9sc, 3sc in 1st, 9sc, 1inc, sl st
Cut the yarn and leave the yarn tail 10 cm long.
Draw the thread that comes from the MR through the ear down (with a hook or a
needle) and when sewing on the ear, hide these two threads into the head.
