Centre for Research in International Trade (CRIT) of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade
(IIFT) is working under the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry,
Government of India. The Department of Commerce through CRIT-IIFT intends to engage
talented, innovative and dynamic Professionals from Economics, Law and General Management
streams for the positions of Young Professionals, Associates, Consultants, and Senior
Consultants on contractual basis for the Departement of Commerce.
2. The engagement of professional shall be in three streams i.e. Economics, Law, and General
Management and the stream-wise vacancies are given below.

3. The required minimum essential educational qualification for each discipline is as under :

Management and Research (NICMAR) will be considered equivalent to MBA from an
Institution having NIRF ranking upto 100 in Management category as per the latest
ranking.
*: For the candidates having degree from Universities / Institutes from outside India,
Times/QS ranking of such universities / institutes will be taken into account.
4. The Upper Age Limit, required overall and relevant post Qualification Experience and
remuneration range for the four positions shall be as follows:

1. Ph.D Degree shall count for professional Work Experience up to 3 years, provided no
work experience is counted during those 3 years.
5. The other terms and conditions of engagement of Young Professionals, Associates,
Consultants, and Senior Consultants will be according to the Guidelines issued by the Department
of Commerce vi d e th e i r OM No. A-12034/1/2019-E-2-DoC dated 19.07.2024. The Guidelines
are placed in Department of Commerce website https://commerce.gov.in under “What’s New”. Further, it
may be mentioned that the number of vacancies is tentative and may vary.
6. The Candidates can apply for one position only. If candidates apply for more than one

8. The last date of submission of application through email is 10 November 2024. Please
note that selected candidates are required to work physically at the Department of
Commerce, Vanijya Bhawan/Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi and their services will be governed by
their rules and regulations. The date and time of the written test, interview shall be
intimated only to the shortlisted candidates in due course.
