The Exercise:
To complete the exercise successfully, you will need to do the following tasks:
1. Analyze data ranges with conditional formatting.
a. Open the Benefits worksheet.
b. Select the cells from C2 to C9.
c. Analyze the profits in each region with the help of color scales.
i. Apply White – Red Color Scale conditional format. ( Home -> Conditional formating-
d. Analyze the profits in each region with the help of data bars.
i. Apply Green Data Bar conditional format.( Home -> Conditional formating-> Data B
e. Analyze the profits in each region with the help of icon sets.
i. Apply 3 Triangles conditional format.(Home -> Conditional formating-> Icon sets)
f. Delete the icon set conditional formatting rule for the Profit column. ( Conditional formating

2. Work with advanced conditional formatting tools.


a. Open the Orders worksheet.
b. Select the cells from C2 to C10 in the Order ID column.
c. Identify the duplicate values in the Order ID column by applying the
Duplicate Values conditional format rule with the default color. (Conditional
formating-> Highlight
Cells Rules > Duplicate Values)
d. Clear the Duplicate Values conditional format rule from the Order ID column. (Conditional f

3. Manage conditional formatting rules.


a. Open the Profit worksheet.
b. Select the cells from C2 to C9.
c. Edit the applied conditional formatting rule (icon set) in column C.
i. Select Reverse Icon Order for the icon set rule.

a. Open the Purchase & stocks worksheet
b. Highlight values between 0 & 80 for "Purchase total"
c. Call out the largest value in stocks column
d. Range "purchase total" ( Using data bar)
e. Distinguish all stocks less than 50 items ( using new rule>- classic-> then formula : =$E2<
f. Visualize Blank cells in "Purchase & stocks" table ( new rule -> classic ->...)
g. Visualize duplicates in "Purchase & stocks" table
h. Select the Table and Open "Mange rules" to check / edite your rules in the worksheet
