Setting Points  The new point can be added to desired clearing area with the help of multi-touch. Green curve displays curve

Brain Mode  On choosing “Brain” mode, the system will suggest a clearing setting based on the yarn quality. This function
is available after first 100km of yarn within the group is wound, and it is considered as intelligent tool for fine tuning. SPINNING SOLUTIONS

Brain Mode  The brainy curve will be plotted in Red colour. Users can change sensitivity on slide-bar bellow

Cluster  Periodical and non-periodical faults can be detected in cluster channels. User needs to define the clearing limits.

Count channel  The clearing curve can be plotted with setting points. The total clearing length is 50 m. Classification
is introduced for easy optimization of settings and to check the quality of the running material. This shows the count SPINNING SOLUTIONS
variation within the bobbin.

Core Channel  Detection of missing and Off-Center core can be done with separate channels based on Off-Count
measurement. Missing core is detected as negative Count deviation detected in purple field, which size and position depends on SPINNING SOLUTIONS
Core count, draft, sensitivity setting and observation length by numerical input.

SFI / D – The clearing curve can be plotted with setting points. The total clearing length is 80 m. Classification is

BBD  Wrong count and colour variation after bobbin change will be detected in BBD channel and will be rejected
immediately. BBD is active only after bobbin change for defined length and deviation. Bad bobbins are accounted separately. SPINNING SOLUTIONS

FF Organic  Organic faults like seed coats and Jute are classified in Organic. Organic faults classified between F
Dark curve and Organic are not cleared. This will reduce the total number of FF Cuts. SPINNING SOLUTIONS

FF Organic  Total F cuts can be reduced by optimizing the Organic channel. Total number of allowed Organic faults can be

Before starting the machine for the first time it might be necessary to update the
clearer’s bootloader and/or firmware

1. Go to “System” menu
2. Select “Firmware Update”
3. Check Firmware and Bootloader Version” on all listed spindles. If any version is
shown in “Red” color, a Firmware or Bootloader update is required
4. Log in with Foreman password “12911291”
5. Press download button “TK (bootloader/firmware”)
6. Once the update is successful, the “Red” color will change into “Black”

After completion of FW update, TK’s will read the version in “Black” color. If some sensing heads FW version remains “red”
or “blanked”, it’s necessary to repeat Update until all sensing heads are completely updated. SPINNING SOLUTIONS

After FW update, sensing head will show “PA”. Now TK is ready to run and waiting for article Parameters.

Error  During Master Module or Firmware update, error message “Master module is Offline” will appear for few
seconds and disappear. You can ignore it. It won’t affect the update. SPINNING SOLUTIONS

An article consists of settings for different clearing channels (NSLT, FF, OffCount
etc.,). Articles can be “added” or “removed”, however, an article assigned to a running
group can not be removed.

For article creation go to Article menu


1. Press + (add) to create a new article
2. There are 4 options to create an article
a. Enter Article settings
b. Use Yarn Parameter for Setting Proposal
c. Copy Settings from an Article
d. Import Settings from USB
3. Select your preferred option

Enter Article Settings
User needs to enter the settings for all the clearing channels.

Use Yarn Parameter for Setting Proposal


User needs to choose the yarn parameters and can select TOP 9, TOP 12 and TOP 16 class clearing for
NSLT clearing. For FF and PP, the user can select Normal, Medium and Sensitive ranges.

Copy Settings from an Article


An existing article can be copied to a new Article.

Import Settings from USB


Article settings from USB can be downloaded to LZE-6.

Here, users can use existing NSLT settings from Zenit+ to get equivalent Prisma NSLT settings. However sample length and

Define the count channel settings. Short Off-count is on the left half of the matrix:1-10m length, Long Off-count is on the

Labpack  VCV and SFI are now combined on LabPack matrix. Always start from above 5 meter length and Diameter on
maximum(150). This function should be adjusted after at least 24km wound yarn within the group, when there is enough SPINNING SOLUTIONS
recorded events! Short SFI (understand VCV) is the range of 1-10m length, SFI/D (Unevenness and Hairiness) is from 11-80m.

Define the alarm limit for individual channels or it’s groups in Off Standard bobbins setting. Please note that alarm types which
begins with _underline belong to the group above, which is without _undeline. For example Surface cuts are ones with long SPINNING SOLUTIONS
suction length, therefore we recommend lower number(3) for bad bobbin detection to reduce downtimes because of bad bobbins

In case of Fancy mode is ON, you are able to activate/deactivate single classes above or under clearing curve. This is to

Define group spindle range, sensing head type, lot and article.

Wet Splicer  If wet splicer used, this function must be ON. It prevents false Splice cuts triggered by capacitive sensor. Same
applies for F-clearing during splice, while water could change shade of fibers and trigger false FF cut.

Last Cut  Last 20 cuts can be seen for individual spindles with class, length (mm) and Intensity. In case of F cuts,
also detected color tone of yarn fault is shown. SPINNING SOLUTIONS

Test Mode  Under Service/Diagnostics/Test mode you can find function which stops spindle in case of any kind of
cut which you specify for inspection. On screenshot bellow is for example set inspection of NSL Splice cuts, and Short SPINNING SOLUTIONS
cut of class B1.1 and B1.3, as well as Foreign fibers class I1.4 and R1.2.

Test Mode Then just select spindle range and timeout. After confirmation, selected spindles will be running in Test mode, SPINNING SOLUTIONS
and will be blocked for inspection after every selected type of cut, while on TK Display will be blinking alternatively yarn fault
classification, and approximate length of fault from the end of yarn in meters(usually around 0.4). Bellow on Spindle number
bar, you can recognize which spindles are in Test mode by underline. Also, note there is set timeout, when test mode gets
automatically deactivated.

SPINNING SOLUTIONS

NSLT Classification  YM Prisma offers additional fine classes (highlighted in yellow) and adjustment options, these help the operator to make his
adjustments without compromise. YM Prisma classifies all NSLT yarn faults, there are no unclassified cuts as with earlier clearer systems.

Foreign Matter matrix displays classes SIRO 0-4, Where S are the shortest faults 0-10mm and O are longest faults 40-128mm, and 0-4 in intensity
scale, where lowest is 0 and highest is 4. Upper half of matrix is D-Dark faults, lower half is B-Bright faults.

Polypropylene matrix displays classes POLY 1-5, where P are shortest faults 0-10mm and Y are longest faults 40-80mm, and triboelectric charge
intensity in class 1-5 where 1 is lowest and 5 is highest intensity disturbance.
